These lights were easy to install. The hole for the lights is exactly the size required for the step-down box. The box uses push-in quick connectors. There are several varieties of these connectors and although I like these push-in connectors better than twist-on connectors, this variety of push-in connector is my least favorite. But it's still easier than twist-ons. The switch to control the light temperature is on the top of the light fixture. So if you install it at one color temperature and later decide to switch to another temperature, all you have to do is pull the fixture down, move the switch to the desired temperature, and push the fixture back up through the hole. Keep in mind that these are SPOT lights (such as you might use over a bar), rather than FLOOD lights (that you might use for general lighting in a kitchen or living area). The pattern is a "smooth spot," with no discernible edges. I'm very pleased. ... show more
