  • Good value, works great
Originally ordered a kneeboard that was too long and was constantly bumping my yoke. Gave this one a shot and I really like it. It's a good length, just can't fit a sectional in it without leaving that last inch hanging out but honestly I don't care. Putting the sectional behind the clip board works just fine for me. I only with that 1) the knee strap slits came pre-cut (you have to cut them yourself BUT they are at least stitched for the opening, just not actually cut open, similar to a new suit jacket) and 2) the pockets were a bit more rigid/taught. The fabric relaxes easily and the pockets seem to be "stretched out." Again, not a big deal. Holds papers just fine while in flight and folded up. That all being said, I fly using iPads and I have a slim stylus I really like. The problem with this stylus is that it's metal and slim and falls out of pretty much every pen holder out there. However, it has been staying put in this knee board so I'm really thankful for that. I also have a pen with a rubber grip but that one is really hard to get out of the pen holder while flying. All in all, I'd buy this again and definitely recommend. It's not perfect, but it works great and is just right for me. ... show more

  • Good simple knee board.
Hood value. Not a fan of the clear plastic holder, but well stitched together.

  • Good for its price
This kneeboard is cheap and simple. I would prefer if it had a few small pockets to put medical certificate and similar small items. Everything else is fine. Here are some important details for future buyers: - Sectional chart does not fit into the chart pocket as it folded originally. You will have to make it shorter, but you will be able to make it slightly wider. Actually, I would not want to have longer kneeboard to accommodate the chart as it is folded originally - it would be too long. - My E6B fits perfectly into any of two pockets on the left 'wing' of the kneeboard. - Black stripe at the edge of plastic pocket for the clip board (you can see it on product photo) is pretty thick and it makes inconvenient to make notes at the top of the sheet. ... show more

  • Nice little organizer
Very nice Cordura nylon. The clip and interior space work well for 4x6" note pads for jotting down settings and ground instructions. It would be nice if there was some add-on foam to help stabilize it on the thigh.

  • Good Basic Board.
Nice basic knee board. I'm a beginning pilot and it works fine for what I need. Pockets on each side for storage of checklist and small note book.

  • I love this kneeboard!
I was skeptical about buying a kneeboard but this one is amazing! I am going to be a commercial aviation student at UND this year; this kneeboard was recommended to me by another student. It fits securely on my leg and I love the metal clipboard! I can't speak to the durability as I have not had a chance to use it in the plane yet, but it seems to be well made. ... show more

  • Respectable, but too small for a sectional.
I'm currently pursuing my private pilot's license, and I purchased this kneeboard to help keep me organized while at the controls. It's great for holding my notepad, a pencil, and my E6B. The VFR clipboard contains a tremendous amount of information, and the text is printed directly on the board, not on a sticker like is seen in some other kneeboards. My one complaint is that it's too short to hold a regularly-folded sectional. If you look closely at the map in the images, you'll notice that it's folded at the top and bottom, showing a nonstandard-sized section. It's not a tremendously big deal, however I might have considered other kneeboards before this. Overall, I would consider this kneeboard for a pilot looking for a simple way to keep organized in the cockpit, while keeping in mind that sectionals may need to be refolded to fit for cross-country flights. ... show more
