Features

  • GRAVITY-FED PRECISION DESIGN: Engineered for consistent flow, this sandblaster features a top-mounted gravity reservoir that naturally feeds media into the airstream. Ideal for spot rust removal and glass etching where control is prioritized over massive surface coverage.
  • COMPRESSOR REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRES MINIMUM 4 CFM @ 90 PSI. This tool demands continuous air volume; do not use with pancake compressors or units smaller than 5 gallons. Insufficient CFM will cause the gravity feed to stall and the media to sputter
  • OPERATING PRESSURE SPECS: OPTIMIZED FOR 90 PSI (150 PSI MAX). While safety-rated for 150 PSI, the tool performs best at a steady 90 PSI working pressure. Higher pressures do not equal better flow; correct air volume (CFM) is the key to performance.
  • MOISTURE FILTER: REQUIRES DRY AIR FOR FLOW. Gravity-fed sandblasters are highly sensitive to moisture. You should use an inline moisture trap; damp air will cause the abrasive media to clump in the hopper and block the gravity feed mechanism.
  • HEAVY-DUTY DURABLE CONSTRUCTION: EQUIPPED FOR LONG LIFE. Features a durable body and steel nozzle designed to withstand abrasive wear. The lightweight, ergonomic grip minimizes hand fatigue during detailed restoration projects.

Sandblaster Gun Kit Portable Sandblaster Premium Sandblaster Soda Blaster Blasting Media What size air compressor do I need for this sandblaster? The AS118 requires a minimum of 4 CFM at 90 PSI with a 5+ gallon tank. Most standard garage compressors (3+ HP) meet this requirement. For continuous blasting, a larger tank (10+ gallons) reduces wait time between refills. What blasting media can I use with the AS118? Work with 6+ media types: aluminum oxide (rust/paint), walnut shells (wood stripping), glass beads (finishing), baking soda (delicate), and silicon carbide. Use included mesh filter & guide for best results. How do I prevent media from clogging? 3 steps: (1) Use dry media to prevent clumping. (2) Use the included mesh filter to remove large particles. (3) For siphon mode, fully submerge the pickup tube. Sift sand before use. Is this good for large projects or just small detail work? AS118 is for precision detail work on small-medium projects: automotive parts, glass etching, tool restoration, and furniture stripping. For large industrial blasting, use a cabinet system. It excels where precision matters most. How long does the ceramic nozzle last? Hardened ceramic nozzle outlasts plastic alternatives, offering hundreds of hours of use. It's fully replaceable—just swap the tip instead of the whole gun. Find replacements on our Amazon store.

  • Worked Great
Style: Steel Nozzle Black
Needed to clean up the evaporative cooler and this worked great. As others have said, need to refill it a bunch of times if you have a large job. Other than that, it did what it needed to do with no complaints from me.

  • Customer service top-notch, blaster easy to use - compressor not spec for but worked great
Style: Steel Nozzle Black
Sand Blaster as described and easy to use. My project was to blast outdoor aluminum furniture in preparation for painting. I used Black Beauty Abrasive Blast Media Extra Fine abrasive 30/60 mesh. In hindsight I could have used a larger abrasive. If you have a large project you'll be wishing the hopper was a bit larger - only means more refills. Note, my compressor was on the smaller size, being a 1.6 hp, 20 gal tank, and 4.0 SCFM @ 90 psi. I did not have any problems at all using this blaster with the hopper. As my air started to run out, my abrasive in the hopper also ran out. After stopping and refilling the hopper, the compressor filled back to full pressure (120 psi). ... show more

  • What a great little product!
Style: Steel Nozzle Black
I needed to sandblast some small parts and antique tools that had rusted. I took them to a local machine shop that does that sort of thing and they quoted me $150.00. YIKES! So I went to AMAZON and found this little device. I already had a air compressor so I ordered this sandblaster. It works great for cleaning up small projects! I realized that I didn't have any blasting medium when it arrived. NO PROBLEM! It comes with a screen. You can use it to sift the fine sand in your kid's sandbox to do your little jobs Bigger projects - I would order some blasting medium togo with this great tool. It requires about 90 Psi from your compressor to really be effective, so you will need an air tank with some volume to work properly. A portable DeWalt with two tanks like the one I have would work fine (or larger). For this price, this is a handy tool to have in any workshop. A great gift for the handyman! ... show more

  • Returned - Didn't work consistently
Style: Steel Nozzle Black
It seemed like the nozzle got continuously clogged. The compressed air caused moisture/condensation on the nozzle, and the sand blast material would get clogged up or something?? I tried about 4 different types of sand and soda substrate to put in theb product. It would blast out about 2 seconds of sand and then just be air after that. I'd try to tap it in the table and it'd work another 2 seconds and stop. VERY frustrating.... Not worth my time. Returned. ... show more

  • Read my review!! I thought it was junk too but IT WORKS!!
Style: Steel Nozzle Black
Not many real/decent reviews on this. I was at first skeptical because I didn't have any media to try out on my Brembo calipers. I had baking soda in the kitchen and gave that a whirl. Did absolutely nothing. I was very disappointed. Read online that someone tired salt. Gave that a whirl, nothing.... Mad after reading other reviews and still optimistic I didn't give up yet. Not having a Tractor Supply or Harbor Freight near by, I decided to do what everyone says not to do...I went to Home Depot and bought play sand!!!! **I do not condone or am advising using sand because it can cause serious damage to your lungs from the silica** I figured it was worth a try and only $4 for 50lbs and right across the street from my house, why not. The result was surprising!! It made me start to believe this gun. I think a big problem is that the media control valve is misleading. It says on, or off. Never having sand blasted before I didn't know that regulating the amount that comes out of the gun does make a difference!! When I first started with the baking soda and salt, it was wide open. Tried salt again with the valve only slightly open and it actually did some removal. As you can see from the pictures this gun did its job. The sand is a little but too abrasive for the alluminum but IT WORKS!! Using 90-120lbs of pressure this gun ABSOLUTELY WORKS. Use the right material and the right amount of air to material ratio and you have yourself an at home sandblaster. Now, the next step is to get non harmful abrasive to my lungs and an open area to complete the job. ... show more
