I'm not familiar with this brand at all. So, I'm really pleased to see that those are high quality brushes. The wood of the handle, the body of the brush, the ferrule, the brush itself with the bristles, and the belly are all made extremely well. Even though after unpacking the brushes they don't feel like they have thick protective material on the bristles, you definitely need to soak them in water for few minutes before starting using it. The tip of the brush stays in form after drying. The brushes do hold a lot of water and they are very nice to use. They are very long, the wooden handle by itself is 7 inches. I used some with gouache and watercolor so far. The brushes came packed well and all the round tip brushes had a protective plastic around them. They also came in a nice leather case. I didn't expect much but these brushes are surprisingly capable. You get a nice selection of different brushes here that are perfect for all kinds of paints. I dabble in both watercolors and acrylics and these brushes have done well with both so far. I'd say they're a good option if you're looking for a set of affordable brushes that both beginners and long-time artists can play around with. ... show more

I recently started oil painting and wanted a few extra brushes. I was a little worried that these would be too flimsy but they aren't. They do hold paint well and so far the bristles have not come out as they have in other sets that I have bought. There is a nice variety of sizes but only two styles - filberts and rounds. I'm satisfied with the set and I think they are a good value for the price. I don't want to buy super expensive brushes until I get a little bit better. ... show more

These are some really fine brushes. I actually find that I like how long the handles are. This may sound weird, but all of my brushes have handles as long as those cheap brushes that come with paint sets. These are actually much more comfortable to hold. The bristles are really soft, too. Only a couple of them were a bit stiff, but once you moved them around a bit they separated nicely. I'm very much looking forward to using these brushes for my paint-by-number projects. ... show more
