This seems to be a good quality faux turf. I ordered it for use as an artificial turf for a pet toilet. I know thats not a glamorous use for this turf and honestly, now that I have it, I’d say it’s really too nice for that use. This is designed to be more for a yard or traffic area. The “grass” is plush and has multiple tones with even some earth colors visible down low in the pile. It is thick, plush and a really nice surface. It has the finer “blades” not the wider more fake looking grass. It cuts easy with a box knife.

Nice and large! We use this as sort of a potty pad for my chihuahua mix. The darker one in the photo was an old one. This new one is not as thick as the old one. It does feel real enough and the dog has no issue using it. Because it is lighter/more thin I do worry about it blowing away if it gets windy. I have been using a turf rake and pan to pick up solid messes and hose off the artificial grass every few days to keep it clean which has been working well. Overall I'm happy with it

This faux grass seems to be of good quality. It has a realistic look, and it feels pretty good. I haven't had it long enough in the area in the sun to know if it will hold up, but from first impressions, it's good. The backing is a thick rubber that makes a slightly difficult cut (in a good way). I have only positive expectations based on the short period of time I've had it, but only time will tell if it will hold up.

When it arrived, my first impressions were stellar. The turf looked great like real grass and felt surprisingly thick - so thick that I couldn’t even roll my patio umbrella over it! That required rearranging furniture, but no big deal. After a rainstorm, it drained well (bonus points!), and I was sure this was going to be awesome. But about two weeks in, I noticed my dog had started licking his paws every time we went outside. The only new element in our environment was this turf, so I started inspecting it - and I found it was shedding in a big way. I hadn’t cut or trimmed it - just unrolled it and walked on it - yet there were dozens of green plastic blades scattered across the patio and stuck underneath the mat. Perhaps more importantly, they were sticking to my pup’s paws... he walked over the turf, jumped in the pool, and green plastic needles floated to the surface. That’s when I decided to pull the turf up - and noticed a strong smell that reminded me of cat urine (though we don’t have cats.) I didn’t notice this smell when I installed it, so I’m assuming it must be from sitting in the sun all day. We have another artificial grass rug that my dog loves - he rolls on it all the time, but he never did with this one. I don’t know what bothered him about it, but I can say this: since I pulled it up, he hasn’t licked his paws. That makes me sad, because he must have been uncomfortable and I didn’t realize it. This might work for decorative use in pet-free areas, but in our case, it didn’t meet expectations. The shedding, the smell, and my dog’s reaction were enough for me to stop using it.

I got the 10' length so it'll be a runner for my son & his girlfriend's dogs while they're staying with us...hopefully saving our carpet. I wasn't expecting this to be quite so floofy. The backing is rather thick too and I don't think it's likely to move around. This isn't the crappy fake grass carpet every backyard patio used to have. It even feels nice on the feet.
