An excellent notebook for use with any kind of dry medium such as pastel or colored pencils. White pencils make an especially good medium for drawing and the contrast is excellent. The Binding is good and each page is perforated so that individual sheets can be removed.

The thickness of the paper is great for the price, thin enough to flip through easily, but also retains wet ink well without causing holes/tears/etc, comes with perforated edges in case you want to remove a page. I used a kuretake brush pen and was worried the continued use of it as I applied layers atop of still somewhat wet layers would damage the paper as has happened with flimsier books. I like this paper a lot. I like the texture, and this size is perfect for small projects, and practicing hand lettering, mandala patterns or anything else you would use a pen or pencil to do. As much paper as I use, this is a fantastic value!

The paper is a nice thick sheet. The sheet tears easily out of the tablet at the perforation. I have used it but my 4 year old Granddaughter loves it. She prefers to draw on this black paper over just a white sheet of paper. I had metallic pens and she has all the new Crayola crayons in pearl, metallic and Neon and confetti. These show up really well in this paper. If you're looking at kids craft ideas I would highly suggest this combo. ... show more
