the paints came in great condition,and I did a painting on canvas board with pallet knives straight from the tube,its an impressionistic painting..no additiives or mediums added to paint and it did great..lots of texture and its opaque like it should be..ive painted many years but took a break from acrylics..and i have my own studio now with plenty of room so i wanted to try acrylics again..these do dry with a little sheen to it,not too glossy..i will buy these again..wonderful to work with..i will add that if you paint thickly like i did it will take overnight to dry..and i noticed they didnt seem to dry as quicky as other paints ive used on the pallet..but i will still use a stay wet pallet..i got the 20 set,plenty of colors and 4 oz tubes is plenty to last a good while if not making huge paintings..i also bought metallic paint in small bottles,very happy with it. ... show more

I Like the paint consistency, it preforms well, nice colors, it cleans up well. I was not sure about purchasing this at first some reviews said it was to thick to spread the product I received was fine.

It’s a Beautiful Color Blue and mixed well with white to make a lighter color for the Blue Vase. Very happy with this product and so easy to paint with. I may look for the whole set of Artecho colors on Amazon.

I've been working with pencil and watercolor art for some time now and was curious about working with acrylic. Not wishing to spend too much money at first, I initially bought a set from Weisbrandt, which featured 20 some small tubes. I hate to say it because perhaps it works better on craft projects, it was unusable for artwork (really bad, in fact). So, I ordered this set of primary and secondary (plus white and black) acrylic paints from Artecho. After ordering them, I started to worry if they were any good, as I could find very little about them on the Internet. They quickly arrived today and I just tested all the colors. And yanno what? They're really quite good! For the low cost (about $15) and the size of the tubes (you get a lot!), I was a bit concerned if they'd be of good quality. Happily, they are (for a student grade level) excellent! Even yellow, normally a frustrating color at times, did a fine job of coverage (no second coat required). These also easily mix well with one another, and of course, you get the bonus black and white hues to mix with the others for a lighter or darker shade (in watercolor, we're told not to use black or white in mixes, but it seems that's okay to do with acrylics). I am extremely pleased with this product and will certainly be viewing their catalogue for other shades of acrylic. This is such a quality “affordable” paint. It comes out the bottle thick and goes on smooth, and a little goes a long way. Did a paint party with 8 people and there’s at least half left. Will definitely purchase again.
