This artist brush set is awesome! The packaging is totally on point and it's a piece of cake to use! I really like that it has 24 assorted brushes of all shapes and sizes! I think it's great that it comes with it's own carrying case as well! The only thing that I noticed that was a little off putting was the smell of the case, it's strong at first but I let it air out a while and it was ok. These are really great paint brushes! I’ve been painting for a little over five years and can honestly say this is by far the best set of paint brushes I’ve received! They work well with all types of paint, including fabric paint! These paint brushes do not shed and move freely within the paint and while painting. I recommend these if you aren’t looking for paint brushes that are really expensive! I’ve use them countless times. These are very much beginner brushes, but it is a very comprehensive set, size-wise. I got them for my husband (who is not a beginner but does some pretty wild abstract painting so work well for that). They clean easily and are holding up well to his acrylic abuse. I dabble in Paint by Numbers when I am blocked on watercolors but want to play with paints. I've spent too much time making mistakes with watercolor brushes so I decided to try a set of small detail brushes and I find these to be wonderful in every aspect I could desire. A wide variety of shapes, sizes but very easy to grip and the packaging is lovely. These brushes are a very good value - exactly what you'd want from a variety pack, but nicer than you'd expect - excellent protective packaging, each brush is wrapped in plastic and also protected with a plastic cap to keep the bristles from getting banged up in shipping. These feel more like the brushes that are 17$ apiece, not a value variety set. I completely recommend these, if you're looking for a variety set for acrylic paints, in my case specifically paint by numbers. ... show more

I use these for painting miniature acrylic paintings on rocks. Since I'm in the beginning stages of retirement and just started painting I didn't want to spent too much money until I had a better idea of what I might need. I don't know that I would need anything different. So far, so good.
