The quality is good not great I am finding some shedding but with daily use I bought one set few months ago and they seem to break down and frizz but for a painter who is just beginning or not as avid these are an excellent selection.

I initially had ordered a set and had to get a replacement b/c my initial one was missing a few brushes. That was a quick fix, and they came quickly as well. I'm thinking I didn't really pay too much for them, only a few dollars more than another set that I had purchased. So, I was expecting something of the same quality from them. I was sorely mistaken. For how much I paid for these, they are amazing. They were able to allow me to actually output the level of work I knew that I could do, rather than being held back by subpar brushes. It's to the point where I ate the second charge for the replacements and kept them rather than sending them back because they work so well. And the variety of brushes you get makes it worth it as well. There are some duplicates of certain brushes, but that means I have multiple copies of a brush I use often, which means that's fewer times I have to replace them. For the price, these are so worth it. I went from fighting crap brushes trying to start this painting a few months ago to being almost done since I've gotten them. ... show more

    • Incredably nice 18 piece paint brush set with great brushes that are really nice to paint with.

First I have to say that I’m not an artist but I’m learning. I saw these beautiful brushes and really liked the carrying case too. I read the reviews and decided to give them a try. I love them. There is a brush for everything and they’re really nice. They hold water and paint. I am using watercolor and gouache. They feel good in my hand (I have a crushed right hand so this is saying a lot) and they have a nice spring when you paint with them. It comes with a metal palette knife (student grade but it gets the job done and fits my needs) and is great for mixing paint colors and applying paint on paper or a canvas if you are using acrylic or oil paints. It also comes with a round sponge and I truly can’t say enough about this wonderful case that protects your brushes, knife and sponge. It really is nice and I feel like I’m doing something special for the brushes I love. It’s a nice addition to having the nice black carrying case you get with other paint brush sets. They are all nice but this one is unique and has a slot with a pocket to hold each piece. Even the zipper is quality. It’s a canvas material with nice snaps on the outside of the spine. I personally wouldn’t take it outside for fear of getting it dirty but that’s just me. It would certainly hold up though. For a small price you get 15 premium paint brushes, blade, sponge and carrying case.
