This is not my first Artcome matcha set. I bought one about a year ago to give as a gift for a relative who wanted to dabble in matcha latte. That was a nice set, but this is a nicer, more "traditional" set. It would make a great gift to my relative, but I'm keeping this one for myself. Now, let's be clear about something. This is a ceremonial tea set, so it's meant to prepare matcha tea in a relatively traditional way. If you're looking to just drink a cup of matcha tea or latte, you probably wouldn't use this set. It makes only one or two small cups of tea at a time. If you're making a latte, you can just scoop matcha into a cup with a spoon, make a slurry with some hot water, then add some hot milk. The pamphlet that it comes with actually gives good, clear instructions on how to make different type of match drinks, including latte and more traditional tea. For a ceremonial tea, you should warm the mixing bowl and the whisk first, scoop the matcha into the mesh strainer, sift the tea, add water, whisk and pour. Doing it the traditional way will probably make for a smoother tea, but honestly, it will taste pretty much the same. Overall, this is a great gift set and would make for excellent ceremonial tea, but for just a cup of matcha tea in the morning, you can just use a mug and a spoon.

I love this matcha set, my matcha tools were looking pretty sad and I am so happy to have these as a replacement. I LOVE the little duck that holds the matcha scoop and the little cloth is so pretty!! I genuinely have never had such a nice. This set is beautiful, adorable, and absolutely giftable, it arrives ready to make your matcha lover very happy. I got this for my husband, who is a casual matcha drinker and he needed a walk through the elements, so I'll put that down in here. The cup is to whisk the matcha in. The sieve is to sift the matcha into the cup with the help of the little bamboo flat measuring spoon. The little sculpture is to rest your measuring spoon on. The whisk is to whisk your matcha into the hot water - before you use it, you have to soak it in water for a few minutes. After you use it you put it on the little cone-shaped ceramic piece. The cloth is to wipe your cup as needed or for any spills. This is a set that is beautiful to display, in addition to being very practical. Highly recommend.

Super cute matcha set! DOES NOT come with matcha, so make sure to buy that separately! Ceremonial grade is the best :) The whisk and bowl seem to be high quality in this set. It is packaged well, and already comes wrapped. Easy for gift giving!
