Two big tough pliers that feel and work every bit as good as the (other) name brand ones, and for a pretty reasonable price (~$24 as I write this review). They arrived nicely nestled in a somewhat eco-friendly seeming arrangement which I've noticed more often from Arrow and appreciate. The pliers are fairly basic overall relative to some of the doo-dads some of them come with nowadays. These do have the kinda sideways notched carveouts in the tips for grabbing screws/bolts a bit better. That doesn't detract too much from most other uses but something to be aware of if you do rely on flat tips more often. I'm usually grabbing stuff in the jaws farther back. The other nice little feature they have is a hanging hook (which very occasionally doubles for using a screwdriver or other pry bar to adjust tighteness while it's latched 😇). I guess the one other little upgrade is the plasti-dipped release bar. If it holds up it does make it a bit more comfortable to operate. I've already put these to use as part of my regular toolset in my little garage workshop. Came in handy for some work I was doing on a drum throne the other night. One thing I did notice is that the grooves on the jaws are pretty sharply machined. I think they'll work themselves a bit smoother over time but as-is they can scratch your workpiece a bit more than a broken-in set.

These are good locking pliers and there are some nice features that some others don't have. First, the finish is a slightly darker chrome look, and while that's really a very minor thing in a tool, I do like it. Instead of a round adjusting knob, there's a through hole knob so you can use a screwdriver or something similar for additional leverage if needed. I don't find it useful on adjustment before squeezing it closed, but sometimes it does help releasing something if there's a very tight fit. The release lever is coated in a non-slip rubber. Most interesting to me are the tips which are useful for removing damaged fasteners. There's a small, semi-circular notch in both jaws, so it can wrap the head of the fastener or round object. You used to have to purchase specialty and sometimes less durable or well made pliers to get that feature, but here there's a durable, name brand pair that have it. That alone differentiates these in my mind from many that are out there, and it comes in handy often. I really like these more than I even thought that I would.

These Arrow locking pliers are exactly what I needed after my other set walked off somewhere. They’re very easy to use, and in fact, when I was adjusting the screw on the smaller one, it was pretty tight. I grabber the larger one, clamped that screw and turned it with ease. I got the set with both the 7” and the 10”, and what a great value. They feel very well-made, and are heavy enough for about any job. The squeeze is easy, and doesn’t take a ton of muscle to operate.

Quality locking jaw pliers. These pliers are heavy-duty. The pliers lock tightly and grip your work firmly. The screw gripping groove in the end of the jaw is a great idea. These pliers adjust easily and the round plastic coated screw is a nice addition.
