  • Good fun.
Color: Black
I didn't want to get stuck with another battery ecosystem, so I cut the IC2 plug off the truck and soldered a XT60 plug on it. Running the Zeee 2200mah packs, and they fit in the chassis just fine. No issues with the truck with the new plug.

  • Just buy it . If you come this far but you're unsure this is the one in this scale
Color: Black
Holy hells toadstools batman. This sucker runs like a stabbed rat for the size . Hit a slight dip yesterday and got air and flew for probably 30 ft. And I work with measurements so that's a pretty good estimate. You'll see some people complaining about it overheating but it's actually just running the juice out if you're using it at top end so consider that and maybe get a second battery . But I mean the bad boys drifts and handles like a dream. Only slight issue is with shorter ramps and jumps it gets a little nose heavy. Probably be able to work that out with a little more controller discipline over time but it is something to consider if you're a beginner . Anyway , if you'll excuse me I've got some neighbors to annoy with maniacal laughter ... show more

  • Fantastic truck for the money, not without its issues...
Color: Black
Like most people, I picked up the Mojave Grom because of the awesome truck livery/form factor. The thing looks great sitting on a shelf, and ripping down the road, or around a turn on a dirt course. Very cool looking truck with nice details and pretty durable body! Nice work, Arrma! Chassis is robust and rigid and the shocks come setup just about perfect for the weight of a 2s pack. It sits fairly low to the ground (more on that in a minute) and weight transfer is nicely managed by the moderately heavy springs and proper damping. Again, for the money, amazing that it comes this dialed in right out of the box. The metal gears, though tough and up to the task of handling a lot of power, speed and abuse, are LOUD. I mean really loud. Maybe I'm just picky but I keep my gears greased up every other pack or so because the gears really are LOUD. Metal on metal on metal on metal, so that is to be expected. DCS/AVC/whatever they're calling it works pretty well (at first...) to make the car a breeze to drive and keep within control. (more on that in a minute, also) It's really amazing that any dope can just run to the store and drop about 250 bones and come home with this little rocket. I'm surprised they're not EVERYWHERE! But after only the first two packs or so, if you're kinda hard on it, that's when the honeymoon ends and the arguments begin. The servo saver snaps REALLY easily, and once it snaps you'll see why - it was designed to break just as much, if not moresoe than to use the spring to protect the servo from forceful impact. Very thin and brittle plastic used. Replacements are $9 for a whole set, but you'll just need the one piece. I'd love to see a three pack of the one piece you'll actually need for $9 instead but what kind of business model would that be?? The steering will slop-up with use, causing DCS/AVC to become hyperactive, leading to the car shimmying like a mad man while driving straight on a smooth surface. The body, easy to remove at first, can be a real fight to remove after dozens of impacts and sand gets lodged into all the crannies. Placing the car on one side and pressing HARD, then turning it over and doing the other side seems to work. It comes off effortlessly when new, and the, you find yourself wishing it had a regular body with regular clips/pins instead. Rear dogbone drive shafts can sheer pretty easily. Super easy and fast to replace compared to a diff. Something's got to give... You're going to burn through tires like nobody's business. Since it sits so low, and since it goes so fast, the slightest imperfections in the road will send the thing absolutely scattering and may lead to broken parts and rapid destruction of the oh-so-nicely-finished body All in all, this ~$200 car will quickly get $400 from you, or more, in total, if you actually use it. That is the nature of RC cars, but don't let the very affordable entry price or the marketing about the use of metal parts fool you into thinking this is somehow exempt from the laws of physics. Stick with 2s to save yourself some (financial) trouble. ... show more

  • Amazing RC car
Color: Black
Toughest RC truck that I have. I like these so much that I have bought 3 of them for my family to play with. I bought a Black and Red body for one because I destroyed the first one from flying it at the Skate park. It still didn't break parts with as hard as I was using it.

  • Was great while it lasted!
Color: Black
Car was really fast and handled well for the 5-10 minutes it ran. I’m recently returned to the hobby and thought how far these cars have come since I last ran one. Vehicle was fast and powerful even at 50% on a 3s. Felt supercharged on 75%. Steering just stopped working after one pass on 100% power. I decided to move up to the Big Rock 3s hoping it can handle the power better. We’ll see if I have any of the problems I keep hearing about with it. Hopefully they have got to the bottom of the esc issues. Might consider trying another little Mojave grom if the Big Rock doesn’t deliver. ... show more
