My son absolutely loves this truck! It's a fun RC truck that has a lot of speed but not too much for my child. It is very good quality and very durable. My son loves to try and to tricks with the truck and jumps it off of small places. It also has the option for low speed which makes the batter last about 45 minutes or so, and high speed which lasts 25-30 minutes. It's definitely worth the cost. I purchased this ARRMA Quake for my 6yo son. He was super into R/C cars, but I was tired of dealing with broken throw away toys from the big box stores. Parts for this truck are readily available and affordable. I have not had to repair anything yet, but it appears to be easy to work on. This little truck is quite durable and has withstood a lot of bashing from a 5yo. The 4X4 works really well and it has little issue driving through the grass. I like that you can limit the throttle on the controller to allow for getting used to it's functions. It is really fun to drive, although it is not super fast. I feel like this makes an excellent starter R/C at a very affordable price. This truck comes with everything you need to get going, although I would recommend getting at least 1 additional battery. I have seen the battery consistently run dead between 20-25mins., which isn't bad for the price. You could also get a larger capacity battery to extend that, but may be better off just getting a couple extra to change out. It will pull wheelies, but if you are looking for speed, this may not be what you are looking for. This little truck is very fun to drive and is great for bashing. You will be hard-pressed to find an R/C in this price range that offers at much as it does. ... show more

My son and I have been having an absolute blast with the Quake. Easily best hobby grade basher on the market for the money. Will be buying a Grom Gorgon for my son to have his own next. I do recommend ordering a front and rear skid plate along with the truck so you avoid grinding away the front and rear bumper bolts (pictured). Outside of that you have no worries about these Groms. These run about 19mph out of the box with the included 2s Lipo battery. Absolutely plenty to have fun with and can be turned down for younger kids to learn. Will do wheelies, handle jumps, and the after market support is starting to grow. ... show more
