These cars are awesome. I bought a yellow/blue for my son and the pink/purple for myself and we have a blast at the park with them. They hold up to quite a bit but manage your expectations, if you're doing flips and tricks with it at a concrete and steel skate park- they're sturdy buy not indestructible. Replacement parts are easily available on many platforms if you drive into a tree or head-on collision with another RC at ~50mph. Aftermarket parts are also readily available, with quite a few cast aluminum replacement options. TL;DR - Great product. A lot of fun. Bought two, would make the same purchase if I had to do it over again

I have been hesitant to buy an Arrma for a long time, I was worried is was going to be chinese garbage. This is entirely not the case. These are extremely well built and well designed. I really think these are much better than the traxxas comparable rc cars. The bodies and how they attach are way better than traxxas. They are built very solid for bashing. We did manage to break a part but that is expected with this sort of thing but it is holding up way better than the traxxas trucks we are also running. If you are hesitant to buy one like I was, don't, they are worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. The ARRMA Vorteks is my first “real deal” RC car. One where you have to get the batteries separately. I’m running it with a 6000mAh battery and the car performs EXPLOSIVELY! Battery life is quite terrible, lasting 3 to 5 minutes, but it’s an absolute adrenaline rush every time. The car itself has taken a LOT of abuse and I have broken parts. Luckily, there’s a big aftermarket for these cars and I was able to get it back up and running no problem. It seems like this is where the fun really starts in the radio control hobby! These aren’t cheap, but it’s an incredible value for the amount of fun to be had, as well as its durability. Get you one!!

I’d give 3 1/2 stars if I could but that’s not an option so 4 stars is it. Don’t get me wrong I like the Vorteks a lot BUT the tires and wheels are horrible SO I took them off - along with their 14mm hexes. I installed the included 12mm hexes (Thanks Arrma) and put on some Horizon Hobby tires and wheels from my ECX Ruckus on the rear wheels and Traxxas Rustler wheels on the front. WHAT a difference in handling. I also put upgraded aluminum shocks all the way around ALSO made a definite improvement on handing. My only major gripe so far is the transmitter radio quit only after a few runs on 3s packs. Luckily I had a spare SP3 Spectrum transmitter radio and I was able to bind it and now I’m back in business. Overall I like the Vorteks better than my Traxxas Rustler and hope the Vorteks keeps going strong.

So far this has been a great car. It's super sturdy, very fast, and my son is really enjoying it. The only issue we've had with it is that one of the suspension knuckles cam off when a screw backed out. I was able to screw it back in and all was good. I think someone else mentioned to check all of the screws when you first get one. It wasn't enough to drop a star though. Like most of these, two batteries is recommended. We get about 20 minutes from the 5000Mah battery.
