Description

ARRMA 1/10 VORTEKS 223S DSC 2WD RTR RC Stadium Truck OverviewYou can have everything you want in a brushless stadium truck with the 1/10 scale ARRMA VORTEKS 223S BLX 2WD. Straight out of the box, it offers ready-to-run simplicity, attitude-packed styling, the toughness to take hits, and the power to keep going faster as your driving skills grow. Ready for 2S or 3S power, this basher delivers premium performance — at a price you can afford.ARRMA developed the 223S series especially for newcomers to brushless bashing who want to progress from 2S to 3S power without adding upgrades or buying a new vehicle. With the VORTEKS 223S BLX 2WD, you can start with a 2S LiPo for 35+ mph top speeds that match or beat the best that other manufacturers’ 2S bashers can do. Then, whenever you’re ready, move up to a 3S battery for pro- level 50+ mph bashing. You can control how fast your VORTEKS 223S BLX 2WD goes not only through your battery choice but also by where you set the throttle limiter on its included Spektrum SLT2 radio. With throttle limiting, the SLT2 radio automatically limits top speed to a comfortable level until you’re ready for it all. Set the throttle limiting switch to 50% or 75% and you’ll never have to worry about going faster than you can safely manage. Make the transition from 2S to 3S speeds with total confidence. The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) built into the stadium truck’s Spektrum electronics offers another big advantage. With four selectable modes, DSC will automatically correct steering input as needed to improve your control, confidence, and safety, whether you’re bashing on high-grip or low-grip surfaces. As you gain experience, just turn off the DSC and succeed with the skills you’ve learned

  • One of the best RCs you can get at this price range
Color: Blue
I wasn't sure if I really had a "place" for this when I bought it. I already had a Kraton 4s and a Mojave 6s. Even when I first drove it I wasn't sure what to feel about it. It's fast but feels a little unweildy at first, particularly when braking when it likes to spin. That being said, I found myself going to it more and more when I just wanted to piddle around the yard and ramp and whatnot, and I have to say, it's a fantastic RC. It's fast, jumps great, and goes in the grass surprisingly great for being 2wd. It feels stable and I found that I really don't ever spin out when braking anymore, so I guess I just got used to how to modulate it. It's a great size for just getting it out and popping a battery in it as well. My Kraton 4s and Mojave 6s are so big that it feels like an ordeal to get everything going, and they're just so powerful and loud that you have to be in the mood for it. This thing is lightweight and easy to move around, but it's still pretty powerful and it's super quick at around 50mph stock. I would highly recommend this to anybody who is a beginner and wants to get into the hobby. It's harder to learn than a 4wd RC, but you'll actually be a better driver if you learn on this. And because it's lightweight and has a very simple plastic design, it's going to be hard to break. And, if you do break it, you're going to get parts much easier and with more options than if you pick up a Chinese-operated brand car for your first. I've found that you are somewhat limited on the battery size. I bought a couple Nihewo 4500mah 3s batteries and they fit well and last a lot longer than the 2200mah batteries I was using at first (all my other batteries were too big). ... show more

  • A great brushless basher!
Color: Blue
Yes!! I've gone from many brands (Tamiya, HPI, Traxxas) and building to RTRs as well, but this is my first time going brushless. The power difference shows as I'm mainly using my vehicles in the yard and for pest control, chasing animals off of the property. My brushed vehicles, while working in low-cut grass, may still struggle even if the vehicle already has momentum. This thing doesn't worry about that and flies along my yard and can maintain or exceed the speed of the others. Watching pests freak out at how fast this thing is coming towards them easily scares them off. And then when I'm not doing pest control, this thing has been a joy to bash, as the speeds it gets up to easily does wheelies pr how it gets air, even on the smaller bumps. It's something my brushed vehicles don't do as easily. I like the design for the wide body as it seems to help it keep stable at higher speeds. This thing is meant for bashing on dirt. You can play with this on the street but you'll wear out your tires much quicker, so consider buying extra tires if all you're going to do is use it on pavement. I would've liked a better design to include a front bumper but I don't run my vehicles heavy like that. All of the parts seem solid and I haven't broken anything (yet) but I'm also not bashing it hard. The body looks good and the way it's mounted is also nice compared to other brands. I like that it comes with a wheelie bar as for one of my other vehicles, I had to purchase that separately. I'm using 2S LiPo and that is plenty for me as I'm not so sure I need 3S for the higher top speeds. The Spektrum setup with the motor, transmitter, servo, and controller are perfect. It's easy to fine tune your total speed and alignment. I also like that this controller uses less batteries, about half the AAs compared to my other controllers. This is going to be my main vehicle until something else catches my fancy. Recommended. ... show more

  • Vorteks very fast and turn happy. 2S 100% power sweet spot. 3S 100% is nuts.
Color: Yellow
I own two Quakes, two Fury’s and now two Vorteks. I have both brushed and brushless versions of the Fury & Vorteks. If you want max value the brushed versions with Nimh battery and S20 charger is great all in one package. The downside is the speed is limited to about 25mph. The Nimh is a safer to charge and store battery better for youth. The brushless Vorteks/Fury are faster using the same 2S battery. 75% speed on brushless is about 100% on brushed. But put the brushless at 100% and it’s a good jump faster. Now drop in a 3S battery only on the brushless model and your speeds are crazy fast approaching 60mph. This Vorteks is great especially at 2S power as you can really hammer down the power and it is pretty good at staying planted due to the low center of gravity. The Fury has a longer wheel base so makes it easier to put the power down without spinning out and more stable at speed. The Quake is amazing and best all rounder with the plush suspension and big tires. It floats over grass and off road driving MUCH better which for me makes it far more usable. Keep in mind heavy pavement use really wears the tires out so consider buying a road set right away to preserve your knobby tires for dirt. ... show more
