Description

If off-road domination is your ultimate destiny, there’s no better way to start your power trip than with the 1/10 scale, ready-to-run ARRMA GRANITE 223S BLX 4X4 monster truck. Its aggressive truck body looks great while bashing and even better when you get up close. Four dBoots Fortress MT tires on massive, multi-spoke wheels add all-terrain authority. High-quality Spektrum electronics are installed and ready for 2S or 3S LiPo power. On a 2S LiPo, the GRANITE 223S BLX 4X4 reaches 35+ mph top speeds. Move up to 3S when you want more - and unleash the truck’s full 50+ mph potential! You don’t have to compromise between price and performance. Even on a 2S battery, the speed of this affordable monster truck matches or even beats the best that higher-cost 2S bashers from other manufacturers can do. As you gain experience, you can easily boost the speed potential without needing expensive option parts or a whole new basher. You decide how fast your GRANITE 223S BLX 4X4 will go based on your battery choice and where you set the Spektrum SLT3 transmitter’s throttle limiting switch. Throttle limiting puts the ceiling for top speed at a level you prefer until you want to amp it up higher. With the switch set to 50% or 75%, you’ll never worry about going faster than you can safely control. You’ll make the transition from 2S to 3S speeds with total confidence. The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) built into the monster truck’s Spektrum electronics offers another big advantage, and not just for brushless beginners. With four selectable modes, DSC can automatically correct steering input as needed to improve your control and confidence on any surface. Just turn off the DSC whenever you want to rely only on your own skills. Factory assembled and installed, the heavy-duty, metal gear differentials send power from the Spektrum 3100Kv brushless motor to all four wheels for bashing on dirt, gravel, or short grass. Set up ramps or build a few dirt mounds to grab some air without worrying about the landing - an independent suspension and oil-filled shocks soak up bumps. Extended height side guards on the strong composite chassis combine with the close-fitting body to keep dirt and debris out of the chassis tub. When maintenance is needed, the hidden clipless body retention system allows quick, easy chassis access. The ARRMA GRANITE 223S BLX 4X4 is the perfect combination of affordability, monster truck style, and 2S to 3S speed potential. Just add your choice of battery and charger and let the domination begin! In The Box Needed to Complete ARRMA GRANITE 223S BLX 4X4 Monster Truck RTR Features Built into the included Spektrum electronics, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) gives newcomers another edge while learning how to control high-speed brushless power. With four selectable modes, DSC will automatically apply steering corrections to improve your control, confidence, and safety on any surface. As you gain experience, just turn off the DSC and use the skills you’ve learned. The high-quality Spektrum SLT3 3-channel transmitter has features designed to help all drivers succeed. Throttle Limiting is just one example. Whether you’re using 2S or 3S power, Throttle Limiting enables you to learn control skills safely by limiting the truck’s maximum available speed to 50% or 75% until you’re ready for it all. Four AA batteries are included. Bash without worry, even in wet conditions. Both the Spektrum SLT 80A 2-in-1 brushless 2S/3S ESC and receiver unit and the Spektrum S662 metal-geared digital steering servo are waterproof. (For details on waterproof standards, refer to the GRANITE 223S BLX 4X4 instruction manual.) Factory assembled and installed, the heavy-duty, metal gear differentials send power from the Spektrum 3100Kv brushless motor to all four wheels for blasting through challenging terrain. The entire power system is well-protected for dependable performance on all terrain. The all-terrain independent suspension and oil-filled, coilover shocks soak up bumps. If your bashing takes you over uneven surfaces, you can adjust the ride height to increase ground clearance. The epitome of aggressive style, the GRANITE 223S BLX 4X4 truck body is securely held in place by a hidden, clipless body retention system that’s easy to use. The body is available in three factory-finished color scheme options.

  • Best 3S basher
I was looking for something that sits right between a monster truck and a stadium truck, and this thing nails it. I’m a big fan. It’s tougher than I expected — the composite held up after smacking a tree at around 20–30 mph, which honestly surprised me. On 3S it’s quick for its size, and I get about 10 minutes of hard driving out of a 5200mAh pack when I’m driving it hard. The video shows the unboxing and then real action on dirt and pavement, and it flat-out moves. In some shots it’s running as fast as traffic in the background. It jumps well, lands fine, and just feels solid. The body looks good and it’s thick — not flimsy at all. The clip-less body system is awesome and super convenient. It did get a little stiff after a lot of use, but I still prefer it way more than body clips. Stock tires are grippy, but fair warning: the front tires will explode if you’re heavy on the throttle. Mine blew before the third 3S pack. I replaced them with Pro-Line Trencher HPs, and being belted, they’ve been holding up great. They work awesome on the front, and for most of the video that’s what’s running up front. You can see them clearly in the full-stop tire-to-lens shot in the video. Durability has been great overall. I’ve got around 30 3S packs through it with no broken parts — just lots of scratches, dings, dents, gouges, and battle scars. Front and rear have sacrificial skid plates and bumpers, which is a smart design. They’re sold as a front and rear set for around $10–15, so cheap and easy to replace. Parts support is solid. Stock parts are reasonably priced, upgrades are reasonable too, and my local shop keeps parts in stock. There are tons of upgrades available, including 3D-printable ones. The truck itself is priced fairly for what you get. The only real downside for me is the steering being a bit loose. I don’t use the Spektrum built-in DSC (Digital Stability Control). This comment is based on running it without any electronic assist — I haven’t even tried DSC because I like a more direct feel. That said, if you put the truck on a stand, hold one front wheel still, and move the other with the steering, you’ll feel the play immediately. I took it apart and was able to isolate it to the bellcrank-to-hub link screw and nut. I’m planning to shim it to see if that takes the slack out, which it should. Overall, I’d buy it again without hesitation. It’s fast, tough, well-supported, and takes abuse without falling apart. Definitely a high-quality machine. ... show more

  • Great truck
Color: Red
The ARRMA Granite 223S is an absolute monster of an RC truck. From the very first pull of the trigger, the speed and power are unbelievable. Even on 2S, this thing absolutely rips, but once you drop in a 3S battery, the Granite becomes a full-on rocket with insane acceleration and brutal top-end speed. What really impressed me is how controllable all that power still feels. ARRMA did an amazing job balancing raw performance with stability, so you can launch across dirt, grass, gravel, and pavement with total confidence. The brushless system delivers smooth, hard-hitting power that makes wheelies effortless and bashing ridiculously fun. The durability is just as impressive as the speed. The Granite 223S feels built to take punishment. Big jumps, rough landings, tumbles, and high-speed runs — it just keeps asking for more. The drivetrain feels solid, the suspension soaks up impacts beautifully, and the overall build quality is exactly what you’d expect from ARRMA. I also love that it grows with you. Running 2S is already exciting, but having the option to unleash full 3S power without needing upgrades makes this truck an incredible value. It’s fast, aggressive, durable, and an absolute blast to drive. If you want an RC monster truck with serious speed, massive power, and legendary ARRMA toughness, the Granite 223S is an easy 10/10 recommendation. ... show more

  • Fast and Fun

Excellent truck. It's faster and has been more durable than the Gorgon! Lots of fun for my son.

  • Stock tires are junk, truck is otherwise amazing!
This truck has a great price point for the speed and overall performance. Major downfall though, the stock tires are not a good fit for the speed and functionality of the truck. Initially at mode 50, the tires rub on the frame. In less than 3 days and very little time at full throttle, the front tires blew out. It was a very disappointing short spell before the truck wasn’t useable. Time to order more tires…we will go belted next. A truck is no good without working tires, hence the 1 star rating. ... show more

Bought for my husband—he loves it! We’ve driven it around a few times—seems to be great quality and will hold up. Nice big tires. Fast!

  • Tough basher
Color: Blue
The truck is fast and very tough. Broke 1 rear camber link in about 2hrs of full on bashing. Front flips and back flips are easy off a stunt ramp but you need to turn the DSC off or it will mess with the trucks attitude in the air trying to correct its self. (Several bad crashes before figuring this out) I averaged 23 min of runtime on 6500 mah 3s ovonic lipos. The motor and esc do get hot (185 degrees) but did not shut down or cut off early. The body is a little fragile as it cracked where the bed meets the cab on both sides but to be fair the truck endured several terrible landings and crashes that would have broke most rcs. The most impressive part is the clipless body never came off the truck at all. The heat is a little concerning but we will see how long the the electronics last. Overall tough basher that survives most crashes. Great for beginners. ... show more
