This car is fast right out of the box, add 3s battery and charger (about $100 for both) and it’s crazy fast. Good for beginners with 2s battery, 3s battery makes it fast enough to break parts so skill is required. 50+ mph on 3s, handles great with stock shocks and wheels, looks great, 20 min of fun each battery, it’s quite rugged but not bullet proof at 50 mph, so far stock shocks perform best, very worth the money! ... show more

    • Best Bang for the Buck in RC EVER!

I’ve been messing with RC off & on for a long time. Mostly the larger ones like XMAXX, E-Revo, etc. Quite frankly, the Arrma Typhon Grom 223S BLX is far more fun. They’re light, very fast, 4WD, & super durable. You can crash these things over & over again & they don’t break. I run them off road & they shoot across the yard like a bullet. I ran 3S on one of them, but it’s stupid fast, so I mostly just stick to 2S…& it’s still crazy fast. Cool thing is you can switch it to lower power for the kiddos. So they can just run it at 50% or 75% until they can handle the speed. I researched smaller scale RC’s for days before deciding on the Typhon GROM 223S BLX. Nothing comes close for the money. EASILY the best value on the market! In terms of extras, all you need is a few “upgrades” in the form of a shock tower brace, Granite GROM bumper, & the Proline Badland Tires. Maybe grab some spare steering links & A-arms just in case. ... show more

This is absolutely amazing. I had a brushed 2wd rustler years ago and this blows it out of the water, I tried a hypergo model and this is head and shoulders above that. True 50+ mph. No question. Running on 3s is amazingly fast even for an adult

Love this thing, love all my groms. Do yourself a favor and order some shock tower braces and upgrade the steering servo before you even run it if you are bashing or jumping, you will be good to go!!! I use a Granite bumper also 💪🏻

Complete waste of money. Drove for 20 minutes. First collision with tire of a parked car broke the front shock tower. Even worse, to replace it, you have to get a new chassis.

VERY FAST little RC will absolutely go 50+ mph with 3s battery. Remote is small but fits nicely in my hand. I've had the car for several months and only thing I've broken so far is the right lower control arm going close to top speed. I do recommend getting a slightly larger wheel and tire if you drive in grass or gravel. Other than that, it's an awesome little buggy ... show more

This RC is incredible to the point that I'm having more fun now. This is built so tough that I can fly it at the local skate park without breaking parts. Update on this. The front shock towers are a week spot and can't be replaced unless you buy a new chassis for it. Change this to 3 stars
