Stock out of the box it's amazing! Although the battery and charger it comes with is absolutely trash. The 8.4v NiMH battery runs out fast and you can tell when your power drops off. It'll be dead within 5-10 mins of run time and the battery will run hot. I suggest upgrading your battery and changing your esc mode to run on LIPO batteries. Current I have a 2S Lipo battery and this thing can take off! I love the truck, it's fast after upgrading to a 2s lipo battery. Bash it trash it...it'll handle the abuse and constant running and jumps. It's an awesome truck!

All around its a well made and fun truck. Got this my son. We both like it but at the same time we do not like the battery life. Haven't tired it on 50 or 75% yet but on 100% full throttle ripping around you get almost 10 mins.

SUPER bad truck. The steering and the shocks broke right away. You can only drive for 20 minutes and it takes 12hrs to charge! You probably shouldn't waste your money on this.

I'm writing this review because I was concerned the brushed motor wouldn't fast enough or fun. If you are a novice or buying this for a child, do not fear because this truck RIPS! I've had several novice type RC cars ($200-$300 range) over the years and this one is my favorite. We love it and I actually would not want it to be any faster (at this time). My son is 8 and can easily control it: drifting, hitting a 4' wide jump, not blowing it up by hitting a curb. The battery isn't that bad either IMO. I don't feel the need to rush and buy a different one.

My biggest dislike about this product is the battery. The battery connector is so specific to the type of battery manufacturer, that it is not universal. So I cannot go and buy a higher mah battery. I HAVE to buy the same battery the car comes with. This forces the user to upgrade the car to get better battery life. Traxxas allows a universal connector, as does Hypergo. I don’t know if I’ll return the car based on this or not, but thought it would be good to share for others. Also battery life is garbage. 15 minutes without reaching top speeds for more than a few seconds. Steering is great and it is a stable platform for reaching higher speeds, but not without after market parts.

This is one of my favorite rc I own, I upgraded it with a brushless set up and it is way more fun and so much fun. It handles great and takes a beating without breaking, I plan on getting another one for my grandson to drive. One of the downsides is that when you're driving in rocky areas they get stuck in between the steering linkage, I have to clear the linkage every few minutes so I ordered the cover for it. Definitely recommend !!
