Upgraded to 8000mah and the time became acceptable. I’ve tumbled and bounced off a metal railing at speed without incurring any damage ( not suggested). Great truck.

We ordered the Arrma Big Rock with high hopes reading many reviews of people that loved their truck. My son also has the Senton, which he loves but we can't keep tires on it.....pretty fast 3S set up. But the Big Rock, is absolutely the biggest pile of junk I have ever purchased since I started buying RTR/Kit RC cars 40 years ago. Brushless Spektrum motor straight locked up before the 2nd battery was run all the way through. In fact, maybe 5 minutes after the battery swap. I thought it was the rear diff or the center diff/trans but once I disassembled it, the motor was locked up completely. I had to use some fairly large pliers to get the motor broke free and then it just sounds like either the entire inside exploded or a bearing completely failed. After some research, this seems to be a fairly common issue with the new Spektrum brushless V3. I can not testify to the toughness of the rest of the truck since all the time playing was on flat grass and pavement and we haven't made it through even 2 batteries yet. Maybe the older ones are better and more durable, but beware of the newest ones with the Spektrum. Not sure if there is warranty or anything to cover the new motor, or if Arrma is aware this is an issue. I did see a video where Horizon hobby sent a guy a new motor (NOT Spektrum) under warranty and he did not have any issues after that.

Take about a Killer RC Car ARRMA never disappoints. I have ran a couple dozen basher packs through this Truck and its a ton of fun and super tough.

The high LVC leads to very short runtimes even with the highest capacity 3s pack that you can fit into the battery tray. The LVC is just shy of the 3.8v per cell storage voltage which is great for battery cycle life but horrible from run times.

Buyer be ware the ecs on this truck is garbage on a 3s battery you’ll get 3 minutes before it goes into low voltage (lvc) it’s a good truck but the ecs 2/1 is literally garbage I wouldn’t waste your money on this truck is you want a reliable ready too run truck.

The esc servo in these trucks are bad and Amazon and horizon hobbies will bounce you back and forth because neither wants to replace the part and the motor locks up and won’t perform right either. This issue is really annoying for a lot of people because the truck cost to much for these issues especially when you’re not bashing your vehicle.
