Amazing car,very sturdy and super rigid,my only complaint is I cant seem to get any battery pack to last over 10 minutes,just heard i need to cycle through a few charges for them to last longer so we will see. I do wish I would have got the quake or notorious because I really like popping wheelies and the big rock will do them but not as easy as my mini xrt (on 2s) or my deerc 8618 but still a great RC truck ... show more

My 5 year old son and I absolutely love this truck . We've tried many other brands on Amazon and none of them seem to stand the test of time. they always died fairly quickly. But this one takes a beating and keeps on going. No cheap parts on this beast and it's super fast. If my son didn't have so much experience with all the other previous RC trucks...there's no way he would have been able to handle this one. If you're looking for an awesomely fun RC Truck? We ordered the Arrma Big Rock with high hopes reading many reviews of people that loved their truck. My son also has the Senton, which he loves but we can't keep tires on it.....pretty fast 3S set up. But the Big Rock, is absolutely the biggest pile of junk I have ever purchased since I started buying RTR/Kit RC cars 40 years ago. Brushless Spektrum motor straight locked up before the 2nd battery was run all the way through. In fact, maybe 5 minutes after the battery swap. I thought it was the rear diff or the center diff/trans but once I disassembled it, the motor was locked up completely. I had to use some fairly large pliers to get the motor broke free and then it just sounds like either the entire inside exploded or a bearing completely failed. After some research, this seems to be a fairly common issue with the new Spektrum brushless V3. I can not testify to the toughness of the rest of the truck since all the time playing was on flat grass and pavement and we haven't made it through even 2 batteries yet. Maybe the older ones are better and more durable, but beware of the newest ones with the Spektrum. Not sure if there is warranty or anything to cover the new motor, or if Arrma is aware this is an issue. I did see a video where Horizon hobby sent a guy a new motor (NOT Spektrum) under warranty and he did not have any issues after that. ... show more

Truck is a solid basher. Mine arrived with a bent shock but I contacted Amazon they were quick to help me with getting a replacement part. My son has the v3 version of a granite and with our 6000 mah batteries he always gets about 30 minutes of run time and in this one the most I can get is about 20 minutes of run time just bashing. If we are doing speed runs about 14-15 is tops. But over all it’s a great truck. Seems very tough we have made plenty of high jumps with awful landings and it’s held up great. ... show more

Awesome RC . Took it out a few times and this thing is tuff. Its pretty fast. I bought 2 3s lipos batteries to run in and yup thats the sweet spot. This thing rips. Durability is awesome. This is definitely a step up from its previous Gen truck. Also got a good 25 mins rip time off just one battery. Would recommend. Will update in future.. as I use it . ... show more
