What a godsend this product is! I read about this in a BuzzFeed article and promptly placed an order after dealing with an itchy scalp for weeks with no relief, despite washing my hair with moisturizing shampoo and conditioner frequently and using other scalp care products. It was so bad, I was even using hydrocortisone twice a day. Once this product came in, I sprayed it on my scalp and massaged it in and immediately felt relief. It’s so lightweight, and it smells so good – like really therapeutic. I only needed to use it once a day for a few days. And now my itching is completely gone. My husband has thin hair and also deals with itchy scalp, and he absolutely loves this product too. It is healing a bunch of rough patches but it’s still too early to see if it will help with hair growth for him. Even if it doesn’t do that, we still love this product. I also use this as a dry shampoo for after workouts and dance class. This product is absolutely amazing and worth all the hype!

I’ve gone through three bottles of this spray, and it’s become a staple in my routine. I can’t say for certain if my reduced hair loss is entirely from this product, since I also use rosemary oil with shampoo and a scalp cleanser, but I’ve definitely noticed less shedding overall. I use it right after a shower, before bed — spray and massage into the scalp. It dries quickly and leaves a fresh, minty feeling that I really enjoy. The scent is pleasant, and it feels much better than leaving heavy oil on my scalp overnight and worrying about dirtying my pillow or having to shampoo again in the morning. For me, it’s an easy, refreshing step that makes my scalp feel healthier and more balanced.

When I first sprayed it on my scalp, I noticed the smell was very strong. I am very sensitive to smells, so it may not bother everyone, but for me it was off putting- it’s somewhere between minty, citrus, and chemical. The smell lingers for about an hour and I find myself feeling a bit nauseated. With that said, my goal is to improve the condition of my scalp and grow healthy, and I’m baring through the smell to get the benefits. I read the ingredient list before buying and I recall it has a combination of rosemary oil and extract to help with hair growth and strength and salicylic acid to loosen oily buildup. I coat my scalp with this right after showering and daily until my next shower. It dries down without any obvious residue, grease or stickiness. So it seems like this could be used daily without weighing the hair down and contribute toward hair health. I’m still in my first week of use and am going to continue to use it for the benefits, despite my reservations with the smell in hopes it will help grow my hair. My scalp does seem to feel less dry and itchy so far- plus!

I have been using this product for approximately 6 months. I was concerned at first it was going to make my scalp oily so that I’d have to wash it more but honestly it doesn’t do that (and I think may actually keep it cleaner for a bit longer). If I use it before bed after using dry shampoo that day, it really seems to help clear up my scalp and the following day it’s usually ok to not wash. I started using this because I’m interested in getting my scalp to a healthier point to grow my hair thicker. I had some and I was using it after microneedling the scalp, and I ran across a scientific study that had some very good results with using topical melatonin for increasing hair volume (apparently it prevents or delays the follicle from going into a resting phase). I tried to find a tonic or serum for the scalp that has melatonin in it, but the only one I could find was shipping out of India, and no reviews on it. I was going to make a serum from scratch (I make my own lotions and creams) but then I remembered I had this and that I liked using it, so I just added some melatonin to it (about 2 tablespoons of powdered melatonin that I purchased on Amazon). It mixed in well. Just FYI if you decide to do this, after adding the melatonin, it will oxidize a bit and turn a little darker and redder. It hasn’t seemed to disturb the efficacy or caused any other issues I have been doing microneedling once a week on my scalp and using this every night and after microneedling. I can definitely say that adding these to things on a consistent basis has made my hair thicker (honestly do not know whether it’s the product or the microneedling) and those dreaded temple areas are starting to re-grow hair! Given that I like the smell very much (it’s nice right before bed) and that my program seems to be working, I’m going to stick with it. I know there are some people concerned about the alcohol in it but it hasn’t seemed to dry out my hair or scalp (I think it actually contributes to some of the cleaning effect) so I would not hesitate because of that.
