Yes they are cheap, though teaching brush care to most students who don't care is better with disposable brushes as compared to buying the good stuff. I had to go through them and tug on the bristles to make sure they're not too loose. four of them i just threw away but the rest shouldn't shed anymore and look & work fine. just check the bristles beforehand so you don't have to deal with shedding later!

Great quality for the price and you get so many you never really have to worry about not having enough. Easy to wash.
