These are certainly beginner brushes. I had some loss of brush fibers when cleaning one after using it oil paint. Acrylic paint cleaned off nicely. If you’re doing more advanced painting where touch and stroke it important, these may not fit the bill. I can only gauge that on the surfaces I used it on (plain canvas, canvas treated with modge podge, painted canvas). I had some trouble getting a consistent load on the brush and paint was dispensed differently with similar strokes. These will work great for a beginner. ... show more

I first used these at the local library and was amazed that they kept their tip after so many uses versus the other cheaper multipack brushes I bought at local craft stores. I paint with acrylic craft paint and have a tendency not to clean the brush prior to the paint drying on the brush, which has slowly destroyed the tips of my other brushes.
