I can’t say what the overall effect is on vinyl but my ’90 Chevy K2500 looks like it was just detailed and I’ve been using this stuff for years and no cracks yet. My truck has spent its life outdoors and the brutal sun here in the high desert does a number on all the vinyl… dash, console & doors. The vinyl actually gets a white chalky look and a few sprays of this and it looks like new… shiny and clean looking. Based on reviews, opinions vary on this product but I’ve had my truck for 23-years and using this product all that time doesn’t seem to have done any damage though vinyl does get brittle over time and I put a dash mat on to ensure mine doesn’t crack. I would say it’s more of a restorative than a protector since the application has to be repeated often to maintain that nice look when a vehicle is constantly in the sun… it lasts much longer for the car that spends it’s time in the garage. I pulled out the OEM floor mats because they were more white than burgundy and was thinking of replacing them but I gave them a hefty dose of this stuff and though not quite new looking they are pretty close to it… the pic shows one before and one after and a for a few bucks it was much less expensive than replacement. I’d recommend applying this only in the shade and on a cool surface. ... show more

    • It's Armor-All... What Can I Say?

It's Armor-All. If you've never used it, it's sort of 'greasy', or slippery. Expect non-porous surfaces to be slippery after use. I bought a lot to use for cars. Apply it to plastic surfaces, and if there's a texture, use a brush to 'scrub' it into the texture, then wipe up -ALL- excess with a clean, dry towel and you end up with a nice clean surface that repels future spills and makes future cleaning easier. Leaving too much on will likely end up slippery and attract dust and dirt. It's a pretty good product in my estimation. Petroleum-based products are hard on any plastics; I can only assume this is not a petroleum-based product. That's my only complaint. They could do better at telling us what the stuff actually is. ... show more

This stuff works wonders on inside plastics, really makes it shine nicely. I use the original because I’m used to using it. I know I should try their other products but this stuff really works for me. It works well on outside trim also. Got a small bottle because I use the original wipes too. Stuff never lets me down. You should already know what this can be used on. You should already know what is in it and if it is good stuff or not. You should already know that you can use this inside your cars interior. What you probably don't know is that you can use this to literally make all your DSLR lenses look brand new. I spray a touch of this on a microfiber towel and wipe all the "black rubber grips" that's on all the lenses. They then shine brand new without damage the rubber. I use this liquid to clean the rubber on the photographic equipment such as lens zoom ring. It works excellent! Please make sure you have a more absorbent cloth so not to pour the excess on the lens zoom ring.

The product is fine. Fair price. Good value. Good product. However a product of this type (liquid with a lid) needs to be placed in a bag when Amazon packs it. The lid was loose and my deliver was covered in the product.
