  • This product is a must!
I purchased this to revitalize the rubber pieces on my carry on suitcase. It worked really well and bought them 100% back to life. They were starting to get that dry-rot look. The product worked perfectly and completely fixed the issue. I’m smell sensitive and I didn’t notice any over powering or unpleasant smell. It was very easy to work with and clean after it was done being applied. It’s also not sticky which I was worried about. The product didn’t have a color it just perfectly restored the color of the plastic/rubber. The bottle itself is well made and I’m not worried about it leaking. I’m very glad I purchased the restorer. I highly this product for anyone looking to extend the life and looks for their products that make rubber or plastic on them. The pictures are from after a week of travel. None of the rubber looks faded anymore, Car Guys Plastic Restorer was amazing on my Louis Vuitton suitcase. ... show more

  • Best dressing-style plastic restorer I've found.
This is the best dressing-style plastic restorer I have used. By "dressing-style", I mean that it's easy to use and non-permanent (i.e. it's not a coating). I had been using Meguiar's Ultimate Black for a long time on a Jeep Wrangler with very faded fenders. It works well and leaves a very natural or "OEM" appearance. However, the Meguiar's only seems to leave the plastic looking perfect for about a week. I park outside, and hot sun and rain seem to wash it away quickly. The Car Guys plastic restorer leaves a very similar OEM finish, but seems to last about twice as long (2 weeks looking perfect, and then slowly fading). I found it from the Repair Geek YouTube channel, who had similar results - it was the longest-lasting dressing. There are longer lasting alternatives, most notable Cerakote restorer wipes, but I'm not crazy about how shiny it leaves the plastic. I have also seen several reviews saying that it's tricky to install without high spots or streaks. Since it's a coating, if you mess it up, you're stuck with the bad results for potentially months. Note: Application matters! I've found that with both Car Guys and Meguiar's, you have to apply it generously and let it soak in. For really trashed plastic (like my Jeep), it takes 2 - 3 applications the first time you apply it. Also, it is helpful to apply indoors. If you apply it and the trim gets wet before it cures (such as from overnight dew), it will not bond. I apply a lot, let it soak in for at least 30 minutes (hours if possible), repeat as needed, and then wipe it off several times with microfiber towels. If it looks uneven, weird, or it still feels wet, keep wiping. Eventually it will level out and look great. I'll try to update with a photo later if I can. ... show more

  • It works!
I was skeptical initially. I’ve used bumper restorers made the chemical guys for two years which looks great, but, as soon as it rains it’s back to being faded. This product took two applications to get my 2021 RAV4 hybrid back to black. It worked, looks good and after a light rain overnight, still is black. Reviews say it needs reapplication after three months. I can live with that, if it’s true. Wait and see. Update/ It’s been a few months since I started using the tire black. It’s ver good. Keeps my bumpers dark , doesn’t wash off through rain and even snow. My only issue would be the shine is not consistent on my bumpers, which, could be the bumpers themselves. I’m not certain, but, I would recommend this product and will continue to use it myself ... show more

  • Five star review. Trustworthy product and super results.
Five star review. Great product! This is exactly what I wanted to make my vehicle look like new in the areas that are so commonly overlooked but after this product is applied it can be clearly seen and has that new look effect. Very easy to apply with an applicator pad and it came with one and the product lasts more than adequate enough time. I like to keep mine top notch and do once a month application, for something that takes 15 minutes and lasts for that long is amazing. The bottle size lasts a very high number of uses too. I'd say at least 50 uses if it's on a single car doing all the door trim, engine bay, wiper areas, etc. It's compact, has easy instructions for beginners, and inexpensive. It can bring back an untouched area looking brand new and also prevents sunlight damage a bit. Can use never only on automotive stuff but as the product says anything rubber, plastic, or vinyl. It's a gray paste. This is a product that would be in a professional car detailers arsenal. Great product! ... show more

  • Brings old interiors back to life
This made the interior of our old 2005 Hyundai Tucson look like new again. The results were immediately noticeable, especially on worn plastic and trim surfaces. The scent is pleasant and not harsh, and it didn’t irritate or burn my hands during use. Very easy and satisfying to apply. Definitely a product I would buy again. ... show more

  • Best stuff i ever used
I'm 55 years old and I wish I found this product sooner straight up the best I've ever used my plastic trim is 12 years old and it made them look new no joke have patience and do it right ! Use a dime size drop on the sponge it is good for about 8"×4" of surface i rubbed it in good in small circles left it over night about 12 hours and then put on a second coat then a quick buff buffing is must to make it slick so dirt won't stick like some ppl complain about follow the "instructions" buff with a clean soft towel it's been atleast 3 months multiple car washes and rain storms and it still hasn't faded at all I even used on the inside plastic trim in my car it's worth the money and the time to do it right i would recommend this to everyone who hates that faded and ugly plastic trim that makes your vehicle of any type look old I'm giving it five stars all day ... show more
