UPDATE 2018-10-14: I added some pics. The built-in Screen Protector is already REMOVED, and a Tempered glass was installed, as described below in my review. _____ I don't usually write reviews, at least very detailed ones, but I liked this case SO MUCH that I took the time to do it, because it may help others. I'm VERY perfectionist, look at all details, and I did a long (many days) research to buy a case for my Galaxy Note 9. It's crazy to use this extremely expensive phone without a good protection/case. -- SUMMARY: This case is GREAT. Gives excellent protection and feeling when you hold your phone. Even the Built-in Screen Protector is good (it's plastic, but it's good) The package is very good. The seller send you 3 emails, telling you some details and to be sure you're satisfied with the product (It's a Texas-based family company, with very friendly people indeed) --- WHAT I LIKED: - VERY affordable case to protect your VERY expensive phone. I purchased it before the phone, to get it ready just right when I got the phone in my hands. - VERY good design and protection - VERY good protection for the camera too - It does work with Fast Wireless Charger pad. I have the Original Samsung (Latest version which can be "FLAT"/HORIZONTAL or be as about 45º stand). In HORIZONTAL position the phone charges perfectly and fast. However in 45º degree position, the charger does not "see" the phone (In this position the case doesn't fit "perfect" on the stand base, letting a "gap" between the phone and charger's pad, so this is very probably the cause. Not 100% sure about this, though) - It includes a Built-in Screen Protector (which I used for many days and was surprised because it did NOT show any "rainbow" effect, and it did not decrease the sensitivity of the Screen in any way, even using the S-Pen. - It has built-in Protectors (port covers) for 3.5mm earphone jack and for the USB-C Charging port - VERY GOOD grip (ESSENTIAL for this kind of VERY slippery phone) - VERY GOOD Buttons response, you feel the "click" on ALL of them (Volume, Power, etc.) - I was able to remove the plastic built-in Screen Protector to install a Tempered Glass. It was easy, although required very good cleaning (be patient) because the Built-in protector had a very good glue/adhesive to the front cover (which is a part you WILL KEEP because you mount it on the phone, then you insert it in the protective case). - The result after removing the built-in screen protector and installing a Tempered Glass was PERFECT. And I really mean PERFECT (the ability to install a Tempered glass "properly" on the phone is another topic, that does not have anything to do with this case). - The S-PEN is perfectly accessible, yet very well protected - It has a built-in Kickstand, that closes VERY well (until you hear a kind of "click" sound) to prevent dust getting inside - Overall, this an AWESOME & VERY AFFORDABLE case for the Note 9. -- WHAT I DON'T LIKE MUCH: - I REALLY miss a "port cover" for the Micro-SD Tray on top. That part of the case covers it, so if you have a Dual-SIM version (like I have) and want to switch SIMs or add/remove Micro-SD card, you have to open the case entirely, remove the phone and then do the switching process, then put back into the case. NOTE: I did not find any case with this "feature" so far... - I'd like a more cushioned corners, to minimize any impact in case of drops. Even when the case is stated as Military grade drop test, I'd like it to have a bit more cushioned corners. - If I need to charge by cable, it's a bit difficult to open the port cover - If I need to plug a USB-C to USB adapter (to connect a standard USB Pendrive, for instance), it CANNOT be done because the case prevents to fully plug it in. However you CAN plug in and use USB-C to Micro-USB adapters (don't confuse them, they have different functions) -- FINAL WORDS: If you don't want a bulky case, but a VERY good protection, at a VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE, that even allows to use Tempered Glass (in case you don't want the built-in Screen Protector), this is a GREAT CHOICE, highly recommended. --> SUGGESTIONS TO MANUFACTURERS: Please consider making an upgrade (I know this is very new, maybe in near future?) As mentioned above I could only suggest few improvements to this already excellent case: 1- An open built-in port cover for the SIM-Micro-SD tray on top (This is my BIGGEST REQUEST) 2- Make the corners a bit more cushioned. I know you wanted to keep a "slim" line, but I think it would be better for even better protection of drops. 3- If possible (not sure if it is), make the USB-C port cut-out bigger to allow connecting USB-C to USB adapters to connect a standard USB Pendrive I really hope this helps to other people, since I had to ask lot of things (and times) to the Amazon community until getting some answers and deciding to purchase this case.     • Excellent Protection For My Note 9 In A Good Looking Well-Built Case

My wife ordered this Armadillo Tek case for my new Galaxy Note 9 on August 31st, 2018. She apparently researched cases, looked at reviews and picked this one. I never paid attention to the manufacturer - she had already bought it so I just took it out of the packaging and put it on my phone. I've been using it now for about two months and just realized it was an Armadillo Tek case. Before writing this review, I looked up other reviews on Amazon and was surprised to find a few less-than 5 star reviews. My own experience after using this case for awhile now has been quite satisfactory. First of all: The packaging looked nice - kind of like Otterboxes I've used in the past. I actually originally thought it might be an Otterbox (a brand I've always kind of liked). This case seems very well made and less bulky than Otterboxes. Fits easily in my front Levi's pocket. It was fairly easy to install. I like the ridges around the edges - makes it easy to grip. Looks really good, too. Kind of a slightly "military-like" rugged look. Good inner screen protection, as it comes with a plastic screen protector - a nice plus. I read some reviews that noted that the screen protector interfered with sensitivity. Now don't laugh, but I actually left the little plastic overlay (that's supposed to be peeled off the screen protector before installing) on - purposely, for "extra" protection. I adjusted the phone for sensitivity as Armadillo Tek suggests, and have had NO ISSUES with lack of sensitivity. Regardless of whether I'm using the stylus or finger touch. The screen protector fits well, too. I also noticed a negative comment about that plastic protector being easy to scratch. Maybe I take better care of my phone than some others, but it hasn't happened to me yet. I don't remember if I left that plastic overlay on top or underneath the screen protector so that may explain no scratches. But really, if it should scratch, at least it wouldn't scratch my screen! I could probably replace it with a glass protector, but I don't really see the need for that. The edges of the phone seem well protected, too. The corners on the back of the case look to be decently reinforced. I'm not about to "military drop test" the case (I love my Note 9 too much to take a chance just to "see") but I do feel confident that the case would likely protect as well as or better than an Otterbox or similar case. The front of the case has a nice little bevel - just high enough so the screen is slightly elevated when laid face down. Enough to protect the screen but not too much to make it "bulky." All the cut outs (camera/fingerprint sensor/stylus), flaps (usb/ear phone jack), and rubber buttons fit perfectly. Only negative I can see (and I've noticed a few reviewers mention it, too) is the usb flap has some tension. It IS a little annoying when charging the phone. The flap fits snugly and may put a little pressure on the usb plug. Hasn't caused a problem for me yet. And I do understand why it needs to fit that tight, but still . . . . (I try to bend it back every so often and loosen it up a little on the seam - uncertain whether thats having any effect.) Not sure how you can improve on the design, though. The back of the case is smooth plastic rather than rubberized, making it a little more slippery than I'd like. Kind of wish it had the same texture as the sides. I'd hate to set it on a table, accidentally bump into it and watch it slide off the table to the floor. Not sure that could happen but then I don't leave my phone laying around too much anyway. YMMV. Oh, and I do love the portrait/landscape two way flip-out backstand. Seems pretty sturdy, not like some flimsy ones I've seen on other cases. Has come in very handy more often than I can count. Overall: I love this case so far. Seems like it is a quality build, will protect my Note 9 well and last a long time. Plus it looks and feels good. I wouldn't have written such a long review if I hadn't seen some negative reviews I just couldn't agree with. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this case. Out of the box I questioned its integrity right away. But once I slipped the case on, I new immediately this was a great buy! This case embraces my phone so well, I even dropped it on purpose (I know right) to see if my confidence in its design, matched to its claimed performance... and it did wonderfully. Of all the cases I have purchased, this case is above them all. I was searching for a case that had a built in stand which is why I stopped scrolling here. They stand behind their products, give a 1 year warranty, plus included their name and cell # if I had any questions or problems. Case is very sturdy and easy to put on as is the screen protector. It's easy to hold and very durable. Screen cover makes touch use of my screen quick and easy while protecting my screen.
