This scope punches above it weight. This Arken 4-16 is mounted on my CZ 457 benchrest/plinking/hunting 22lr rifle. I have various LVPOs (Vortex Razors, NightForce NXs and ATACR, Eotech 1-10 and 5-25, Leupolds) and while this Arken doesn't have alot of exceptionally great features, it has all the features you want and does it good enough. It weighs comparable to a Leupold and less than the Razors. Feels solid. The capped turrets doesn't make it the best for a benchrest rifle but as a hunting rifle, it's perfect. I wanted a budget scope for my 8 yr-old and others to use. The reviews saying that the illumination knob is tight is partially true. Initially it is very hard to adjust but if you give a few strong and purposeful rotations, the knob quickly and significantly becomes smoother. I'm 5"1' and 125 lbs. and if my small Asian hands can turn the illumination knob comfortably, anyone should be able. The illumination itself sucks though, you really have to be at the highest (6) for any usability during the day. It goes from 1-6. Glass is clear, just not as crisp. Max magnification is discernable and good. I did alot of research and watch alot of Youtube videos about the Arken brand. Seems like Arken allegedly paid alot of guntubers to promote their optics. I'm just an average guy that wanted this scope because it checked all the boxes I needed for my purposes. The coating/finish on the Arken isn't a great as the other optics mentioned above. The Arken got scratched easier and more frequently then my Leupold after a morning of "inna woods" session. Take that for what you may. It's a solid scope for the money and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

For a decent solid budget hunting focused optic this Arken is pretty solid. Got 2 option on the reticle in FFP so you can range things if you want too and use the reticle at any magnification. The capped turrets are nice and easy on/off with good solid clicks and feel to adjust if you need too. All the magnification, parallax and illumination all move smoothly. I am happy for the money it does the job well and glass is clear and bright no real distortions or color aberrations I see and for nothing super long it fits my needs.

Wow what a surprise! I was looking for a good priced optic for my .308, something light and more budget friendly/basic. Read a lot of reviews for Arken Optics and all seemed very good. After mounting and trying the LH4 this thing performs better then other optics that are in the $700-900 range! Tracking, lens clarity, how solid and refined the adjustments feel! Beyond happy with this scope!

Update: Arken allowing return for same product due to I received some incorrect information from another person that caused an issue with the wind turret, has a zero stop I guess, but can’t re-zero optic after you align the crosshairs to get optimal elevation movement like their other scopes. You can only remove turret cap and align the “0” mark to wherever the crosshairs landed after sighting. Would work fine for holdovers, but not good for actual moa adjustment, that would be very limited. It does track well with clicks, clear glass, smooth turrets, good finish, just not what I was looking for. Purchased as a new release on Amazon and user manual was unfinished online at the time so I took a chance. Not their fault all the way, the Amazon side by side comparison to other models is what I felt was misleading. Would still be a great hunting scope for the money. Misleading advertising, says zero stop as the rest of the Arken scopes, but this one does not return to zero. Can’t return because I’m one day past deadline. Just bore sighted today and found this out. Was really excited about the value, guess some things are too good to be true.

Very clear visibility holds very good accuracy easy to use and adjustability is good very good quality and performance great people to deal with just didn't come with instructions or the stickers like first one had

Packaging was not up to par, but the scope was secure in it's box. I inspected it and it seemed fine and solid. I mounted it , bore sighted, and shot a box of ammo through the rifle. It tracks good, has clear glass, and is holding zero.

I love the clarity of the scope and how light this scope is for its size. Everything on it feels of good quality, so it should make great hunting scope. I bought a 2nd Arken LH4 6-24x50 scope for another rifle of mine, so great for hunting. Now if you are one of them that need to break out the rangefinder then get the dope, it can be done but not a true zero stop, so remember how many turns of the turret.
