  • Comfy and great for hiking!
Size: 8 Color: Distressed Brown
I’m no expert hiker but I wore these during my week long trip to Arizona. 4 national parks, mountain hiking trails in Flagstaff, lava rocks, a lava cave. My feet only started hurting the last day of camping but I think that’s normal for anyone who’s been walking, hiking, climbing over rocks and such for 4 days. Now it’s important to note that when I first got these and tried them on I thought they might be a bit too big. I was wrong, they are perfect. I’m just used to wearing shoes where my toes are snug up at the top of the shoe. These have extra wiggle room at the top for your toes and if you’re hiking down hill, your tootsies won’t slam into the front of the shoe leaving you with sore toes. That was an issue I had with a different pair of “hiking” shoes I had. Just lace them up well, make sure they aren’t falling off or there’s too much gap between the shoe and your ankle. Try them with different thickness of socks. Walk uphill, downhill, see how they feel…and remember.. feet DO swell a bit after walking all day. Honestly I’ve been wearing these just doing yard work outside because they’re so comfy haha. I DID add after market insoles for some extra cushion.. but they were cheap and nothing fancy. So that’s something to consider also. I can’t say much about the waterproof feature because I was in the desert.. not much water there. But they seem pretty solid. All in all, I really like them. I recommend you try them out. I don’t normally spend a bunch of money on shoes but I figure having a good quality pair of hiking shoes is important if you’re outdoorsy. So far these are worth it!! ... show more

  • Good barn boot
True to size. I didn’t size up. The 7 was perfect, wore for 8 hours of barn chores straight out of the box, with a thin sock. By day 2 broken in/loosened up just a tad, can wear with thicker socks. Waterproof and mud proof, comfortable and perfect for working in.

  • and I've been happy with their performance in all of them
Size: 8 Wide Color: Copper
These hiking boots have seen many different climates and terrains, and I've been happy with their performance in all of them. Ice-crusted trails, rocky ledges, paths covered with two feet of fresh powder? This boot has your back. Sizing: I generally wear a 7.5 in shoes, but purchased an 8(B) in these boots to allow for a slightly relaxed fit and room for thick wool socks. Pros: - TRUE ALL WEATHER HIKING BOOTS. If you want to be cackling away as your feet remain dry and warm, while your husband's "waterproof" boots soak through in the snow or rain, get these boots. - Great materials and craftsmanship gives boots a long life span. They become merely weathered with wear, not destroyed. - Fit is incredible- holy hell are these comfortable. When I take them off after a full day of hiking, my feet feel great. - Sole has weight to it, which helps you steady yourself on rocky trails. Cons - Look is somewhat boring, but this is a nonissue. I jazzed mine up with a pair of red laces. - Bulky, which makes them somewhat difficult to pack. They take up almost half of my carryon suitcase, so I usually end up wearing them on the plane. They're a heavy shoe, which is good for hiking, but not ideal for traveling. ... show more

  • Just a bit small
Size: 9 Color: Distressed Brown
They were a bit small for advertised size, but I'm giving them some break in time. They are sturdy and supportive. Just wish they would make them more true to size.

  • Great
Size: 6 Color: Distressed Brown
Great boot. This is my second pair. I had the first pair for 3 years. I wear them everyday on the farm. They are very comfortable. I just love them.

  • Amazing Boots
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Copper
The media could not be loaded. I purchased these boots because I wanted hearty, all-around boots for camping and hiking in Wisconsin, and I had enjoyed Ariat riding boots many years ago when I had a horse. These boots exceed my expectations with versatility at every turn. They’ve stood in as snow boots, kept my feet dry and warm while cold-weather camping, and protected my feet while I mowed the lawn. When my family began planning a trip to Iceland to hike mountains, volcanoes, and waterfalls, I thought about buying dedicated hiking boots, but I didn’t want to spend money when I already had these. I brought two other kinds of footwear to Iceland, but only wore these. I had no issues with traction, my feet stayed dry at all the waterfalls, and they were warm when paired with merino wool socks. Despite being used heavily, they’re in great shape, and because they’re so durable I know they’ll last me for many years more. The laces may need to be replaced, but I’m happy to do that. ... show more
