  • Just like in the picture, they run a little big
Size: 6.5 Color: Walnut/Serape
I love how they look, there’s no other hiking boot that looks like theses. They are very solid yet comfortable. The only issue is they run about a half size big. I went on her to return them and they were completely out of my size.

  • Comfortable hiking boot
Size: 8.5 Color: Taupe
Although it runs just a little big, the fit is snug but not tight. Good support and comfortable for hiking

  • Love it
Size: 7.5 Color: Cordovan
I probably would have preferred getting the waterproof version because water went through the leather when I was walking through water soaked grass and ankle high puddles. The boots dried beautifully and remain comfortable and easy to walk/hike in.

  • Great boot- loop broke first week on right shoe- though
Size: 7 Color: Cordovan
Sewing quality was not great- past pairs purchased in store were much higher quality.

  • Love them!!
Size: 8.5 Color: Walnut/Serape
I love these new Terrains! I have a wide foot with a bunion on my left, so regular cowboy boots are hard for me to find. I love Ariat Terrains and have been buying them for years. The only problem was that I could only find them in one color- dark brown. I love the rainbow accents on these new ones! The brown is also a lighter shade. I’m so excited to wear them out riding! Fit as expected, true to size. ... show more

  • great for mucking stalls
Size: 8 Color: Brown
These boots are very comfortable for barn work and hiking. My only complaint is they didn't hold up to paddock mud and the soles have started to pull away and my socks are now getting wet around my toes. Ive used them for 7 months now. I love these shoes but should have just used mud boots for paddock work. ... show more

  • Fit Has Proven Difficult
Size: 8 Color: Taupe
Typically a size 8(38 Euro), slightly wide feet(C) and extremely high arches, compounded by older age and a certain abuse of my feet and knees in youth, can make shoe/boot purchases "challenging". These are the perfect boots to trudge forward in these "sunset" years as an outdoorsy person, (forced to slow down a bit sadly) but getting the fit right has provided the usual sorts of challenges of buying any boot: Will my feet swell and how much? Thin or thick socks? Will the trusty Green Superfeet insoles remedy any problems? The size 8's arrived and were too long in the toe area; width fine; heels were slipping however. So, ordered the 7 1/2 and eagerly awaited their arrival. Length is good, with a bit of extra toe room; however, the arch support in the smaller boots' insoles weren't properly aligned with my feet. Removed Ariat insoles carefully, and inserted the trusty Green Superfeet insoles. Heel still slipped; arch support was a bit "off". Fiddled and fussed for an hour(all inside, both shoes look brand new btw) and almost was going to start over and go through the entire process again with Keen Targhees (a brief reality check reminded me that those long haul hikes are probably just a memory...and I really, really wanted leather...)Decided to return the 7 1/2s and work with thick socks and the size 8's. (PS: Before a multi week LONG walk, I went through the same process with the Targhee I, and chose the smaller size. Big mistake. Think big! Much pain in the smaller Targhees after a year of break-in and a 15 mile haul on Day 1 of a three week trail) Will report back in a year and let you know how the Ariat choice worked out. (I have an irrational trust in Ariats at times, and can only hope I chose wisely this time) I chose the larger size, 8 over 7 1/2. When you critique, I think most people want size details. Hope this helped. ... show more

  • Good boot, but didn't fit my foot well
Size: 9 Color: Cordovan
These looked like quality boots, and the width was good--but the arch support was too low, and my heel slipped no matter which socks I tried or how tightly I laced them. If you have more typical feet, this could be a good option--but they weren't a good choice for a foot with narrow heel, wide toebox, and high arch. ... show more
