Growing up in south Texas I've always owned one or more pairs of boots throughout my life. I love the way they look and usually the way they feel, but there are lots of negative drawbacks, as far as not all boots are made the same. And I've owned pairs over the years that were just uncomfortable and not practical at all. I decided to try this particular boot based off of some of the reviews. By far, this is the best pair of boots I've ever owned. I love the way they feel, they are very comfortable to wear. The rubber soles also to me are a huge plus so the boot doesn't make you slip and fall, like some of the traditional leather soles will. Very lightweight and very comfortable. They're Ariat so you can try their boots on your local boot store, they just didn't have these lightweight boots in this color brown anywhere near me. So it felt strange buying boots off Amazon, but they are exactly what I was expecting. They are taller than I had expected, but that's my own fault for making assumptions instead of fully reading the description. Otherwise, once broken in they're very comfortable, very lightweight (seriously, these tall boots are as light as my running shoes!), and overall of the high quality you'd expect from Ariat boots. ... show more

One of the best black boots out there! The boots are lightweight because of the bantamweight outsole.The mesh panels keep the airflow going so in winters proper height socks will be essential. I have owned a lot boots and live in the Phoenix area and this is the best and most comfortable boot right out of the box. They look great, and are vented. The soles felt broken in almost from the first moment I put them on. They look great.
