I got the 11.5 Wide. The 12W was too long and too wide. Easy to swap for 11.5. The 11.5 is slightly long, not perfect, but the width is perfect. Using orthotics, it is a decent fit, comfortable for walking around in and great for putting in a stirrup. It's a good non-slip sole without large Vibram ridges which I didn't want, but with a reasonable heel. So, it is exactly what it appears to be: a good boot for riding, yet comfortable for walking around, too, climbing on rocks, and waterproof near the sole, for walking in mud. Seems to be a good, honest boot. I have an Ariat cowboy type riding boot, with a square toe, which I also like. that runs a little smaller, so it's interesting to note there is a different last, and I take a half size larger (12W). ... show more

Over the years, the Terrain waterproof boot is my only go-to for comfort. I virtually live exclusively in boots, and these are the only ones that always feel good on my feet for that many hours. The fit always fits, they’re not too heavy, and they look nice. I wish they lasted longer than a year or so at a time, but I’m probably harder on boots than most people ... show more

Very disappointed in these hikers, they only lasted 2 months. They would probably be ok if you wear them casually around the house but they are terrible if you actually wear them for work. Cannot recommend these. I have also been bombarded with spam text from Ariat that I have tried to stop, but they just keep coming. Steer clear of Ariat!!! ... show more
