These ARES universal spring loaded adapters keep everything emplace emplace. The chrome finish is perfect and the quality is there. I have some ARES indexing pry bars and other tools and they really put out an excellent product. I see that they have some magnetic universals as well and hopefully I can buy them soon. Also these universals come with an EVA storage tray. You can't go wrong with these universals and again they stamd behind their product and have lifetime warranty on the these.

These are very nice swivels. The springs hold them straight so they don't just flop around. Life savers on my recent repairs on my car. I haven't tried the 1/2" yet but the 1/4" and 3/8" worked very well. The foam shadow board to hold them is great to stay organized in the tool box.

Good value for money and worked great until it didn’t. The 1/2 to 3/8 drive adapter snapped on me. Operating temps were 45deg F. I don’t think this should have happened

So far the quality is great. I did not had the chance to abuse them while working so I have no opinion about that but they look like that will able to resist some abuse. I am not abuse them in purpose, they get abuse when a sbolt is stuck or frozen and I have to use extra force to move the bolt. When the tool is great, the bolt brake or strip and friends do not let me work on their car anymore. I do not use hammer or oter tools, just my hands, but I am a big guy and I do not work out. When the tool is cheap, theyy vroke or strip and rust vecause I donot use them anymore.Only recomandation that I have is that it would be nice to come inn a plastic box so you can have them organized and not to search forever in the tool box or forget them somewere around your work place. It is that so much expensive a plastic box than the plastic that the set came in? If it is than put some lock and some hinge on the actual plastic and you have a cheap box but usefulll.

I originally bought this set because I was changing my spark plugs and though I might need an extender. I didn't. BUT I was hasty in ordering my torque wrench and got a 1/4 inch drive so my 3/8 spark plug socket wouldn't fit it. Thank goodness I had this set because it had the perfect adapter that I needed. I also used an adapter to fit a screw driver head into the ratchet to get the ignition coil screw out. This was an inexpensive and handy set to have. Protip for myself- read descriptions carefully and maybe look under the hood before ordering stuff next time. And maje sure you have accessories and adapters like this set.

I've worked on cars for over 30 years. Every once in a while a gadget comes up that can save a lot of pain and frustration. This set is one of those tools you wish you had when you are working above you. Typical u-joint adapters wear out after a while and are floppy, especially when a socket is attached. You can buy another adapter, use duct tape.......or just use these! I don't use them all of the time, so the springs will last longer. I've used them a couple of times and they have saved me a lot of time and frustration.

Size: 7-Piece U-Joint & Adapter/Reducer Set
This product is a piece of junk the pin in the u joint is plastic and fell apart first time I tried to use it. Looks great but what good is that if you can't use them? They made it right but I found the reason it came apart was very small screw that held the socket together was lose and fell out. I am very happy with the way they handled this. I would think they would send me a new set and I can send this set back very bad quality. They are sending me a new universal so that should take care of it guess it was just a dad unit it happens. thank you so much for the ASAP service.
