  • Mixed results - not really sure what purpose this board serves
It's still early days for this board. Examples and resources are a bit limited. If you want to work with the FPGA directly, you'll have to install and use Quartus in addition to the Arduino IDE and develop your own SPI code to make the FPGA talk to the processor. The process for installing bitstreams is a bit of a kludge. The Arduino developers intend to provide pre-built templates that can be loaded, but so far I haven't seen or used any of these. Although I learned a lot working with the board, and managed to build a basic frequency counter, I decided to move on to a Zynq board. If you are doing Arduino projects, you probably don't need this, if you want to learn about FPGAs, there are better ways. ... show more
