My son has a slender but long build. It fits him very well. True to size. He wears an 8 in clothes so I got him a small (8). Great fit. Check the size chart because it IS different then a Walmart or Target size Small. We went snowboarding in it and he stayed warm and dry. The material is very waterproof. We got the white camo print and he loves it. Its a unique print and color scheme so not likely to get mixed up with other kids at school! We bought the matching bibs and LOVE those. Not only does it have the fleece bib, it has an adjustable waist for my long and lean 8 year old!. His little sister is not as lean and we tried these on her. The fit wasn't as good but we could make it work. If you have a shorter child for their size or a stockier child I would recommend trying before you buy, or get the husky size as those worked for my Daughter. Update: also Got in a Medium 10/12 (son is wearing a 10 shirt 12 pants for length) for the following year, and he wants it in a large now.... Same pattern and all.... We spend hours snowboarding in Wisconsin each week, which means his butt is sitting in the snow at the beginning of each run and its never cold or wet, even after 8 hours! ... show more

I needed a good, wind and water resistant coat for snowmobiling, and I get cold very easy, I did not expect this coat to be this amazing. I stay completely warm and dry the whole time. It fits perfect the Velcro on the cuffs don’t like to stay, stuck but my gloves go over my cuffs. Honestly want to get these coats for all of my kids. It’s lightweight and still so warm, I wore it without a whole bunch of layers and it exceeded my expectations. 10/10 ... show more

My son used this coat for the entire fall, winter, and spring season here in New Jersey. This coat was in rain, snow, wind, and frigid temperatures. This kept him warm and dry. The coat was truly all purpose as it could go over his snowsuit or be used when he went hunting. This coat washed well in the washing machine.     • Great coat - but only lasted a season :(
Overall I have been very happy with the coat. It washes well and was great for every day wear. As we got through the winter the hem and sleeves began to fray and around early March the zipper broke. I was hoping to get at least two seasons out of this jacket. I would recommend if you are looking for something to only last one winter (kids grow) but you may want to look elsewhere if you want it to last more than a year. ... show more

Works great for outdoor play/recess at school. Dries quickly and keeps kids warm and dry while in quite cold, wet, windy days up north! Color as pictured, seems to hold up well. Size seemed true to fit and zipper seems like it will last. Will purchase again when outgrown!

I didn’t expect it to be so warm because it is very thin and not over padded like other coats - but this one is perfect. It’s durable and long enough to keep out all snow and wind. Very comfortable. Easy to wear in snow and cold.
