I first bought a cheaper brand here on Amazon for half the price, but the insulation was thin and the ice packs along my back would immediately melt from the heat of my back. Wherever the back padding had a seam, there was no insulation. This Arctic Zone cooler backpack has a thick continuous insulation all around the inside of the bag. There are no empty insulation spots where there is a seam. The size is perfect as it is compact but not too small. It is comfortable to carry and the ice packs along my back do not immediately melt when I wear the bag. If you want a cooler backpack that actually lasts for a full day, then this is a great option without getting into the $100+ high end range. ... show more

The first time I used it, it began to leak. It didn’t the other few times which I found strange. Nonetheless, it kept my drinks and food cold. There were ice cubes still remaining after a day or so.

I work in the construction trade and originally bought this backpack for days I wanted to ride my motorcycle in and still bring a cold lunch with me.. I ended up liking the thing so much, it became my sole lunch box whether I rode or not. I've been using this bag everyday for almost a year now and one of the straps finally blew out. I wasn't too upset since I've been pretty rough on the thing since I got it, I was more surprised it made it as long as it did. My plan was to purchase another one on here but then I saw something about a lifetime warranty in the Q&A section.. I went ahead and reached out to the company to see if they would honor it and sure enough, they had me and brand new backpack within a week at no charge! All-in-all, I'm very pleased with the quality of this bag as well as the customer service this company offers.. the little things like that go a long way for me, I'd definitely purchase more products from this company in the future! ... show more

This cooler along with the same brand ice packs work Amazingly well! We bought them mainly for a long day at the Indy 500 in the heat. We have been lugging regular coolers with ice to the Track for over 30 years now. Finally, they are making a quality backpack cooler and ice packs that stand up to the challenge. i like i can carry it on my back. but aside from the main cooler, all the extra pockets are pretty much useless if you plan on storing food in them. and the bungie cord ripped after 2-3uses. you can fit some paper in the front pocket anything more and the seem will begin to unravel.
