Description

Arctic Ice Tundra Series has a very unique freezing point of 5°F and is designed to help maintain a consistent freezer temperature in coolers. While not as cold as dry ice, Tundra Series™ can be used as a suitable replacement (it has been shown to maintain frozen temperatures for days in controlled testing). Due to its low freezing point, Tundra Series™ can take from 18-36 hours to freeze, depending on the temperature of freezer and number of panels being frozen. To ensure Tundra Series panels are frozen, the freezer should be turned to its lowest setting or at least 0°F. It is recommended that Tundra Series be used to maintain frozen goods, such as ice cream, meats, fish, etc. Use weight equivalent to dry ice normally used for great, re-usable results. Store panels in freezer so they are ready when needed. Tundra Series panels are also top-rack dishwasher safe!

These are by far the best reusable ice packs I’ve owned. Unlike standard ice packs that just keep things cool, the Arctic Ice Tundra Series actually freezes at around 5°F, so it’s designed to help keep frozen food frozen instead of just chilled. That makes a huge difference on camping trips, road trips, and long days with the cooler. I also love that there’s no melted ice or water collecting in the bottom of the cooler. They’re extremely durable, easy to reuse, and fit nicely around food and drinks. They do take a little longer to freeze than regular ice packs, but once they’re frozen, the performance is absolutely worth it. These Arctic Tundra Series freezer packs have been fantastic. They kept my frozen food frozen during a cross-country road trip using only a mid-priced cooler ($65–$75), which really impressed me. I also used one on a trail ride, and when we stopped for lunch, the water bottles—started at room temperature—had actually begun to freeze. That says a lot about how cold and consistent these packs stay. They’re made from high-quality plastic that’s durable and easy to clean when not frozen. The integrated handle is a great touch and makes them easy to move and position in a cooler. One tip: if you store these at room temperature, be sure to put them in the freezer a few days in advance and set your freezer colder than usual. These packs are dense and take some time to fully freeze—but once they do, they perform extremely well. They’ve worked perfectly for my needs. My freezers are set between -5 and 0 degrees. These packs do not freeze solid and melt completely within a few hours in a good cooler. I had a bag of ice in the cooler with two of these packs. Ice was barely starting to melt and these packs were liquid. Save your money

It does get colder than the average ice pack. I am using it for a lunch cooler. Great to keep your drinks very cold but the first time I used it I had some hard boiled eggs in a ziplock bag in my cooler. They did freeze! I think this one is overkill for a lunch cooler but it’s pretty good otherwise. It doesn’t stay frozen any longer than any other ice pack I have used. It’s about average in that respect. By the end of my 10 hour day at work it is pretty much room temperature but I’m also only using a $30 soft cooler to keep it insulated. ... show more

Work extremely well! They do NOT deform from freezing. So, if you need accurate fitting, go with the Tundra Series. Worth the extra $$$!

We love this ICE pack. They get really cold and stay cold for a long time when used. We use them when grocery shopping so we do not have to run home to unload frozen or cold items. We also use them on trips to keep things cold in our ice chest.

The get very cold and will freeze whatever they are close to. The bad, they don’t last very long at all, I was able to get about 12-14 hours out of them and i had multiple other ice packs that were still solid in that time.
