In heavy wind it is hard to get the canopy assembled. The poles tend to pull together and the sun shade tends to bow limiting the height. Using the large screw in sand anchors the anchors fill with sand and the poles become jammed in the anchors (we had to flush the sand out of the screw in anchors and use a stick to bang the poles out of the anchors. The cover grommets tore due to the force of the wind and we used other ropes looped over the poles to length the sand bag ropes to get an increased angle for a more secure anchor. The wind was 15-25 MPH gusts.

i love the idea of this.. I live in Florida and bought this for the beach. It is not as easy to put up as the ad might make you to believe and it doesn't stay up in a light wind. The sand bags move easily even when completely full. The stakes for the sand pull out easily too. I spent a lot of time readjusting the bags. But it is great at keeping the sun off of you if you get it to stay up.

Great idea but there were no instructions in the box so we struggled putting it up. Once it was up with a lot of effort it worked ok.

Not at all sturdy enough for any breeze, and sags even without. May work better on a different sand density, but doesn't seem like something that would last

Bought product early to make sure we had it in time for vacation. Fist day we used it, rather windy. Fabric pulled away from 2 of the 4 eyelets and one of the pole stakes broke when screwing into the ground. Downside to buying early….can’t return

Bought this to replace a folding canopy for beach shade. Pro- way smaller, lighter and easier to pack in the beach wagon for transporting to the beach. Seems to stay anchored and up well despite the steady breeze we had every afternoon. Gets a little flappy but never came down. Con- the fabric started to rip at the grommets where anchors are connected to hold it down. If I can edit my review later I will add picture. Does take 2 people to set up / tear down but so did our canopy.
