    • Good in theory, bad in reality
First off, I loved the idea of an easy to travel beach/park canopy but there are unfortunately very big short comings. They may only be specific to this sun shade or to them all. 1. This is anything but easy to setup, and nearly impossible to in moderate wind. You’ll feel like you got it in the right configuration and then a sand bag will pull in, a pole will fall, or a state will break free. All of these left me with a constant feeling of worry that the whole thing could collapse at any moment. 2. This may be specific to sun shades that use cord tie downs rather than fabric. After only two setups and use of less than one hour the eye let’s have already started to tear away from the fabric. I feel like this will eventually lead to inevitable failure of the canopy and in a very short time. 3. The sun protection feels inadequate. One is able to see the sun almost clearly through the thin fabric. I felt a const sensation of being hit indirectly by the sun. Much more than I would under and umbrella. This again may only be specific to this sun shade and other may have a thicker fabric that does not allow us much sun through. All of these reason have lead me to return this sunshade after only about 40minutes of use. ... show more

    • Sturdier than it looks.
I was pleasantly surprised at how stable it ended up (on the lawn; we haven't tried it out on the beach yet) once we figured out how much tension we could actually put on those sandbags, ropes, and the canopy. The canopy is very stretchy and a lot sturdier than I expected when I first touched it. I gave it only four stars for two main reasons: 1) I struggled with set up when I was by myself, but if you have at least two people, it works well enough. 2) It's a little on the short side (we're a tall family). One improvement suggestion I have: it would be nice to have the area for the pole balls marked on the canopy fabric. The instructions state measurements, but a visual would be a welcome addition. ... show more

    • Like it but hard to put up
The product is great and they give you everything you need . I seen others on the beach with the same design and it looks great! My family and I just couldn’t get it up right. We will continue to try but we will use a beach umbrella until we get it to work.

This canopy is large and a good fit for my big family. I purchased the dark blue shade and really like the color. You can set it up by yourself but it’s easier with 2 people. The poles come together easily and the string in the middle keep them all together so you don’t need to fumble around trying to find which poles go together. There are plenty of stake options to suit sand or grass, and extra to give you a more secure hold in wind. Also comes with a scooper to fill sand in the sandbags. I love that the carrying bag fits all the pieces nicely and it’s compact. I can keep this in the back of my car so it’s always ready for the beach! ... show more

This is a pretty good tent without all the hassle you encounter with larger tents. As described all the pieces were there even two extra sandbags and a cute carrying bag. All of the equipment was very light weight considering we had a little walk to get to the beach. The set up of the sandbags, stakes and poles were pretty straight forward so set up took a matter of minutes. Unfortunately it was a bit breezy so the wind was a bit of a nuisance when it came to the covering but the stakes and the drawstrings gave us reinforcement.     • Disappointed
We wanted a beach tent so we got this one. The first time we used it the wind blew it down. The plastic ground stakes to use for the beach are cheap and the poles provided will break at the end. So at the very least to say this is not what I expected and we’re disappointed with this product.

The tent could not withhold wind and I had to assemble it 4 times whiles we were at the beach. I had to return the item
