We purchased this for my Grandson for Christmas. I was excited to play the games of my youth with him. Unfortunately, this game is not the way to experience that with him. Plain and simple, the joystick does not work so the games are not playable. I really wish it would have worked. We will now be looking for other options and returning this game. ... show more

This has been so much fun!! Super easy set up and the controls are identical to the original arcade games. Sounds are spot on. I'm 54 and it brings me back to my teens years at the skating rink. If you loved Galaga you'll not be disappointed!!

    • Works ok
Plan on plugging it in directly to a power source. Doesn't work very well on batteries. Other then that the games work fine but the joy stick isn't as responsive as playing on the large Arcade machines. We are enjoying it.

    • Screen goes black during Galaga
While playing Galaga...at just about the same time ,every time...the screen goes black. Just long enough to get ya killed and end the game,then the screen comes back on.....very frustrating. This only has happened on Galaga...no other games seems to do this.

    • It's not the joystick's fault!!!
Unresponsiveness of the joystick is related to the smart TV and not the console. Smart TVs have a very long response time, sometimes even over 500ms which is connected to the advanced image processing. The case looks completely different when you connect the console to a computer monitor, which has a response time of about 5ms. Now that's a game!! (Some TVs have the ability to set the HDMI input to game mode, but it's still not the same as a computer monitor. ... show more

    • too expensive for slow lag time (joystick)
Pros: It does come with all 10 titles as advertised. It's easy to set up. The buttons are easy to use. It would be perfect for someone who just wants these simple games and to not wear out buttons on a cheap plug-n-play device, or to buy an expensive video game console just to play these few games. Cons: The biggest problem is the lag time on the joystick. These old games require very fast reflexes and quick turns, and the signal time is about a second off, which affects the game play drastically. It's one thing to expect this from a cheap product b/c wireless technology does have lag time. But with this being $180 it's inexcusable for Arcade1Up to sell it at this price with such a cheap joystick. Very disappointed b/c the concept is wonderful and the actual play setup is confortable. ... show more
