  • CHEF'S KISS
The media could not be loaded. Does the machine work and does the performance match the $329.99 current list price? Yes, to both questions. I seriously don't know where to start here, so I guess I'll start with assembly. You have to assemble it yourself. Every panel and part was labeled clearly. The directions were pretty straightforward but the diagrams in the instruction book are primarily pictures. I needed another person to hold up most panels for me. They are HEAVY and need precise lining up. There are varying lengths of screws as well as small wooden pegs involved. The wood pegs alternate with a lot of the screws which aren't visible from the outside and provide a lot of extra support for the panels. The game hardware is hooked up and fully assembled toward the end which was the trickiest part to install but completely doable. There aren't a ton of wires involved, which was a relief. You'll need a screwdriver, as one is not included. I recommend a shorter one because some angled spots you need to screw things in don't have a lot of wiggle room! There's a hole toward the bottom of the back panel where the power cord goes through. The cord is generously long. All of the panels are thick and strong. The ONLY thing that broke my heart was while installing the controller/Joystick panel in front there were 2 small spots on the very top edge that line up with the machine that cracked off. IN MY DEFENCE I followed the instructions entirely and moved INCREDIBLY slow and gently but for whatever reason those 2 spots cracked instantaneously like they were as thin as a potato chip. COMPLETELY cosmetic. I can't remove a star for that, but I think it's important to know that happened. Moving on- The finish on the rest of the cabinet is gorgeous and the screen is bright, thick and clear. The games all are easy to see on the screen. There has been zero lag. The joystick and all buttons are highly responsive. It's simple to switch between games, difficulty levels, to adjust the volume and to turn the machine on and off. All controls are easy to use/press for both child AND adult players. The most difficult setting for all games is the "normal" setting. The "easy" (and for PAC-MAN) "super easy" settings don't take any lives or damage away in any instance in which in the normal game you would lose a life (e.g. getting caught in PAC-MAN, getting shot in Galaga, etc.) which is a fun practice or low-stress option for kids. The "normal" mode is honestly the perfect challenge level for me or the other adults in my house who have played. At any point in a game, you can press the start button for 5 seconds and exit the game/go back to the main screen menu. The sound is crisp, clear and awesome. The highest volume is pretty loud and all the way down the game sound is muted. You can't go back to a game you were playing after leaving the game (as expected). The high scores stay but there isn't a way despite trying I've been able to find to set your name when you get a high score (bummer). It's REALLY fun, and though it's "kid sized" height, an adult can pull up a chair and have to lean over a measly bit (not uncomfortable at all) or sit criss-cross on the floor in front of it (need to reach up a bit, but again, not uncomfortable) and you're good to go. Honestly, I put it directly next to my bed the first night and comfortably played PAC-MAN with one hand for an hour and it was the perfect height. It's not that hard to move around, which is another awesome thing about it. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Great graphics, extremely well-made worth every penny
The media could not be loaded. Paying for this type of entertainment is definitely an individual preference however, I have wanted this for over a year and I was so excited to get it and it has met my expectations and quite honestly exceeded them. It is an expensive investment but every time I go to the arcade, I end up spending at least $100 on my four kids to play Pac-Man. This will pay for itself in a week. It took some time to put together, but I have a friend who loves doing that sort of thing and it took him about three hours. I think it could be done more quickly, but we had a movie on and just enjoyed putting it together. The instructions are very clear and it is extremely well-made. It functions as expected. It's easy to use and I like the size of it. I have a very large wrestlemania arcade, but the kids have to stand on a stool to use it. The little ones just use this one and the older ones set on a chair. There are three levels of play, which makes it very fun. For me it's very nostalgic. I highly recommend this. If you like this game and you like this sort of entertainment, it's an excellent value for the money because it is so sturdy and well-made. I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble and plays well
I got Arcade Classics Pac Man Jr Series Free Standing Machine in February 2026. There is a lot to unpack here so I will start with the assembly and then talk about the games. As for the assembly, it is relatively easy to do from start to finish. Everything comes nicely packaged and individually wrapped, and there is plenty of padding in the box. Everything came pretty much in flawless condition with no visible damage, even though my box has some scuffs and damage throughout. There are three things I did not like about the assembly: one is that there were no tools included, the included dowels are incredibly thin, and they included exactly the count of screws you need without any spare. It would have been nice to have some extra screws in case one of them breaks during assembly. As for the hardware, this is a really nice device. The joystick has a nice clicky feeling to it, and the buttons all feel quite sturdy. The screen is bright and clear, and the device is overall pretty solid. The only thing I do not like is that when you turn the game on, it takes quite a while to boot. Of course, I am talking seconds here, but I would have expected this thing to turn on and be instantly playable within one second. As for the games, they are a faithful recreation of these games. They are fun, albeit quite simple compared to modern games. It would have been nicer if they had included more than just three games. As for the price, $330 is a lot of money for just these three games. This is a nice and sturdy arcade cabinet to include in your entertainment room, but just know it is just three games and so perhaps paying more to get the bigger size with more games is worth it. ... show more
