This is catnip meant for tea, so it's meant for being ingested. So this means it's safe and healthy for cats! Some catnip is grown with chemicals and I want my cats to have the best. Because this is sold for tea I know it's a great quality and perfect for them! It comes a little more chunky than catnip sold for pets, but its easy to crunch up for them as we use it. This literally was such an amazing deal for the price we will have catnip for a long time and the cats all have it often lol there's just so much. Highly recommend for cats, best quality and value for sure!

Originally bought this catnip because it has no other fillers like mint like other catnips do! This is very important since I've run a rescue of at least 38 in my rescue at this present moment. It refreshes toys just beautifully. This is also great and reasonably priced per the ounce. If you were to go anywhere else you would pay two and a half times to get the same amount! When I compared this catnip to other brands I can see a visual difference there is fillers and not high quality items in the other catnips.... But this brand is all clean fresh bright and vibrant and fragrant. Also my cats do not get sick on this catnip and the effects of this catnip on my cats is way better than the store-bought stuff I used to buy before! My kitties really love the stuff more than the old store bought stuff it's a big difference in their behavior once they taste the catnip. Their behavior when they have the other brand is that they end up fighting with each other. The new behavior with this catnip is a little bit more chilled out and they don't fight as much. And a little goes a long way in comparison to the store-bought stuff. The store-bought stuff I would have to use 10 times the amount to get the effect of a little small pinch from this friend for all 38 cats. I also noticed that the old brand I was buying before my cats would get sick on it. But they have not gotten sick on this catnip from this amazing company!

Catnip tea is bitter and I dont recommend it for pregnant women because apparently it can cause the uterus to contractions.Too much and you'll get a stomach ache.Its my favorite drink after gym since it relaxes me and the cats love the stuff that sometimes one of them spawn by the bag when i open it so cat and human approved

LOVE THIS CATNIP!!! My 5 cats LOVE THIS CATNIP!!! I buy two pounds at a time as I store their cat toys in containers with this catnip. It makes the toys last a lot longer with the catnip scent when stored in it. I change it out a few times a year in the containers. After I change out the containers, I put a pile of it on the floor (laminate) and let my cats go to town in the pile! They love it and really enjoy rolling in it and eating it. I sweep it up the next day. I have very happy cats this way! This catnip is bright green so I know it is freshly picked and dried. I store any leftovers in the foil bag it comes in, and put it in the freezer till I need it Great stuff!!

I bought Frontier Co-op Organic Catnip for my two cats, and let me just say—they go wild for it! This is my second purchase of this product and my first bag lasted 10 years!!!! The package they use keeps it fresh forever. The quality is noticeably better than the cheap stuff at pet stores. It's super fragrant, fresh, and you can actually see the whole leaves and buds, not just dust. I love that it’s 100% organic and ethically sourced—makes me feel good knowing I’m giving my cats something safe and natural. I sprinkle a little in their toys or on the scratching post, and within seconds they’re rolling, purring, and playing like kittens again.

***UPDATE*** After using this for quite some time now I have to change my original review of this catnip. I absolutely love it now. I don't know if the funky smell it originally had was due to being in close contact w/the citric acid I had also bought but after emptying it into a sealed jar it really does have a pleasant smell when I open it. I'm glad I received the ground up kind rather than the leafy type the pic showed because it's really lasting a long time. I use a very large jar to store it in and still had slightly less than half left in the bag. I've yet to use 1/2 of the jar and haven't touched the bag at all and have made close to 50 or so catnip toys, each one containing 1/4 cup each. Def. worth the money and I am very happy with it. I still think the bag it comes in should have been placed in another bag to prevent spillage so I can't give it a full 5 star rating. For years I've been spoiled buying my catnip from a cat shelter who has volunteers that grow and sell it but recently the price just isn't doable for the quantity you get. Theirs is organic, homegrown, leafy, and a very potent but pleasing smelling catnip. I'm not sure that what I ordered from Frontier and received is homegrown or organic and it's definitely not pleasing to my sense of smell but my cat seems to be ok with it. The texture is like ground coffee beans, very fine, more like a powder form and isn't leafy at all which was disappointing to me as I use this to make catnip toys but this stuff may make them too heavy. The price is extremely better than any other I have seen so I hope it'll work out ok for me for the purpose I need it for, otherwise my cat will have a year's worth of catnip to enjoy, HA! I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 because of the funky smell and the pic that shows it as leafy rather than the fine/ground up texture it actually is. It also arrived in a foil packed zip-lock bag that wasn't sealed completely so a lot of it spilled inside my box and on everything else I ordered too. Not happy about that. Come on Frontier, if you're going to package something in a zip-lock bag that's not properly sealed (where you have to cut it to undo the zip part) then it should be packed in another bag too to protect its contents and anything else someone may order.
