This sweater fit exactly as expected from fit of other clothing I own from other brands. It's very warm, cuts the wind well, and feels like it has a very personal touch from the company (Aran Crafts) that makes it. Unlike most wool sweaters, this wool still has the sheep's natural oils in it. It smells exactly like you're on a farm, which I love. The natural oils kept because it makes the sweater more water resistant. There are complaints by others about it being itchy, which is expected of wool, and I'd say this wasn't as itchy as they made it out to be. Maybe I'm less sensitive to it, but it was light-to-mild. Highly recommend this sweater! Excellent product and excellent company.

Very impressed with how well these are made. Best sweater money I have spent! 5'10 155 and a medium fits well. I could see even going small for a trimmer look. Something to note, sizing seems variable. The M oatmeal I ordered is a much tighter knit and shorter length than the charcoal. Over all an awesome sweater, would buy again

The sweater looks very well made. I only have tried it on at this point. It does feel very warm and comfortable. It has a good look to it. The only thing that may be an issue is the loose weave (which is the style), as it may 'catch' on things and stretch the material and affect the 'look'. I've been wanting a rugged looking fisherman style sweater for a while and has been eyeballing one from another company but it was 3x this price and not Irish. So I did a little digging for alternatives and stumbled on this brand. I bought the sweater in charcoal and it's exactly what I was after. Fits great, love the look of it, very warm, the charcoal color is really nice and has little flecks of lighter gray here and there that are really handsome. Some people in these reviews seem to think they smell sheepy, but I really like the way it smells and it's not pungent at all. Also it's a tad itchy, but in an oddly pleasant way. Definitely gonna be wearing this all the time and am also looking at another one by this company. 1 Year Update: Had the sweater for a year and I still love it. Very comfortable. Whatever "sheepy" smell it had when I bought it is totally gone. I will say it has loosened up a good bit and has kind of that loose, floppy sweater vibe going on a bit now which is nice for around the house, but I dunno if I'd call it a sharp look for going out. I feel like I could probably wear a size down and am considering buying a small. Only other downside at the 1 year mark is that this thing for sure pills a good bit. I have picked a lot of sweater fuzz off of it in the last year. Especially around the arms/elbows. All in all still a big fan of this sweater, especially for this price.

1/27/2023 Beautiful garment that fits like a glove, which for me, is good. But If I were 180-90# the XL would be necessary for the shoulders and possibly the sleeves. The sleeves are JUST long enough for my 33" arm length but the stomach size is Ample for larger guts. The quality of this sweater is 100% awesome, you won't find a better quality anywhere. The weave, warmth and color-purple are everything I hoped for...it's great to WIN once in a while! It's only a question of size. With Amazon making it so easy to exchange or credit your account buying this sweater is nothing to worry about. Always wanted a (Merino wool sweater made in Ireland) and this is it. Did I say this is Awesome?...it really is beautiful! Note - I'm just a retired guy who has no association with any company or product so trust that this is an HONEST review.
