The company was established by Molly Cullen in 1957, after creating beautiful Aran designs with her mother and grandmother. Molly’s dream was to incorporate a family knitting business whose heritage stretched back for over 100 years. As the designers and producers of the finest quality Irish Aran Knitwear, our extensive range uses the traditional Irish Aran Stitches. Today it is the biggest manufacturer of knitwear in Ireland, with a vibrant workforce under Molly’s grandsons Niall and Barry Cullen. Irish Aran Stitches are used throughout our garments which are believed to bring luck, success and health to the wearer. Our collections are manufactured using: Merino wool, pure new wool, Donegal wool, Tweed, and super-soft merino wool. Our ladies’ Aran sweaters are the epitome of the heritage that stems from the Aran Islands, and are a great addition to any wardrobe. Authentic men’s Irish sweaters from Aran Crafts are created in striking shades so you can look great for any occasion. We make knitwear for men, women, and children. Our sweaters also make the perfect gift. Some of these garments have been adapted for modern worldwide markets and are worn by men and women with pride and pleasure.
