The quality of this feels great! Haven't tested it in water, as we bought it for a costume. Really like how the sleeves and part of the legs are thinner like a rash guard! I think that would help with comfort and mobility when it is worn in the water. It does gather a little weird in the crotch area but it could be like that because it is unisex. It would be helpful to have a girth measurement added to the size chart. A 10 fits my 9yr old ok she is slim and short. A 12 might have fit in the girth better. Will update if we use it in the springs!

This short sleeve, short pants style is great for boogie boarding. We got a size 12 for a tall thin 8 year old and it’s perfect. Right now they can wear a regular pair of swim trunks and short sleeve rash guard underneath. It’ll fit great for the next two years without having to struggle to get it on. The neoprene after 4 wears is good and keeps this kid perfectly warm in cooler ocean water or even a chilly swimming pool. The spandex part is very comfortable too.

False advertising. Its a 2mm suit not 3mm. my 7 year old is wearing a size 8. he is almost 47" tall.

This wetsuit has a very designed with a cheap material, and I did return it to get the proper size. And later one, it was ripped under the arm. I truly did not want to set time aside to return it again and get sth else. And I would advised others to get sth with much better quality. Maybe I was unfortunately, but I have had many of them. It's often difficult to buy a wetsuit on line because every manufacturer uses different sizing. I ordered a size 10 for my daughter because her size 8 Neosport wetsuit was too small. I couldn't find her a Neosport wetsuit in a size 10 at an affordable price on Amazon. This one looked good but since Amazon doesn't list the sizing chart for this manufacturer, I hoped it would fit. When it arrived, noticed it was just about the same size as her current wetsuit. Based on the sizing chart on the tag, she is at the top end of the size range for the size 10. I would have returned it for a size 12 but it's not available on Amazon in a size 12. She loves it. It only fits her because the arms and legs of the suit are Lycra and therefore stretcher than neoprene. She'll get a few months out of it then past on to her younger sister. I'm posting the sizing chart in hopes that it helps others. My advice to check the manufacturers website for their sizing chart before buying a wetsuit.

I bought a size 8 and 10 because I didn't know which would best fit my slim 9 year old. She's 60 lbs. She could fit in the bottom part of the size 8, but I was too short for her torso. The 10 fit her torso, but the legs and waist area were just a bit too loose. What I do like about this suit, though, is that the legs have an elastic fabric to them, with some give, so it's likely she'll fit the 10 next summer. The difference in sizing, though, is a bit extreme...at least if going from the 8 to 10. If you can find it in your kid's size, it's a decent looking suit.

Got this for my almost-7yo daughter to keep her warm in the lap pool when she started swim clinics. She is very tall for her age and weighs 48lbs (tall and slim) and the smaller size (6) ended up fitting better. You want it snug so it doesn’t allow a ton of water in and create heavy lag in the water. The 8 was very wide on her. Great product!
