Aquaphor Itch Relief Ointment is uniquely formulated with the soothing ingredients of Aquaphor plus maximum strength 1% hydrocortisone anti-itch ointment. This itch relief ointment immediately soothes and relieves itch and irritation from both indoor and outdoor causes including skin irritation, insect bites, psoriasis, skin rashes, eczema and poison ivy. Clinically proven to deliver up to 12 hours of significant itch relief, this ointment is gentle on irritated and inflamed skin while offering maximum strength relief. Aquaphor itch relief ointment is a great alternative to an anti itch cream, and is ideal for mosquito bite itch relief, bug bite itch relief or as a psoriasis treatment, eczema treatment, or poison ivy treatment. The 1% hydrocortisone anti itch ointment is fragrance free and paraben free, and is hypoallergenic. Apply Aquaphor Itch Relief Ointment to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily. This product is safe for adults and children over the age of 2. Each of the ingredients in Aquaphor skin care products are tested and approved for their quality and safety. I just didn't feel this one did what I expected. I still had the itchiness of the poison ivy. Why I'm rating it 4 stars is because it did provide good moisture, which I'm assuming helped with healing. You may need lidocaine if you go this route, but as a moisturizer for skin problems it was great.

This is good, but I want to put out a caveat: it contains a form of menthol. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, mind you. It is not, however, a fact which is prominently displayed anywhere on the packaging. I purchased this because I have a touch of eczema right next to my right eye which has been causing me some problems. This would feel great almost anywhere else, and would immediately help with itching... but next to the eye on rather sensitive skin which is already irritated, there was an unmistakable burning sensation. Just be aware, and don't make the same mistake that I made :) ... show more

    • Fixes my eyelids
I have dry/flaky eyelids. Eye creams have anti aging ingredients that irritate them more. Plain aquaphor helped but if I forgot a morning or night it would return with a vengeance. This has been the only thing that fixes it and I can even miss a day without flaking
