Just got back from taking this out for a couple test runs on the last camping trip and it didn’t disappoint. This was an upgrade for me from a previous brand’s somewhat more entry level kayak. And it truly feels like an upgrade that was well worth the money. Very stable and I liked that the floor is not inflated. As a single person kayaker who is extra-large, this makes sense because whenever I’d put too much weight in one spot on the inflatable flooring it would bounce up on the ends and feel unstable (and let water in). This doesn’t. I wouldn’t probably be able to stand up in it but I’m also clumsy and don’t feel like trying. It did help with getting in and out though. For my next trip I am going to pack more weight in the front for improved tracking. I’m about 3/4 of the weight limit on this thing so even with the skeg in (which is *way* easier to put on and take off than other brands) I felt like I needed a bit more counterbalance in the front. I’ll experiment with this more. Still tracks better as it is, than lower priced options, but was going back and forth a bit more than I like. If you are average size this will likely not be an issue for you. I worried about my butt being crammed in between the sides and I fit just fine; I generally wear a woman’s size 24 (us) if that helps others gauge the width of my butt (ha). The seat is great, so much better than an inflatable seat imo. I like that the kayak had something behind the seat to help with stability and so all that weight isn’t pulling on the straps with no support behind. I did buy a half-round exercise roller (18” long) to use as a foot rest and that worked much better for me than what was provided. So far everything met or exceeded my expectations. I did have to give myself a little tutorial on the valves because I wasn’t familiar with them and the air kept escaping. I just watched a video as I recall, searched for “Halkey Roberts valve”. I also bought a foot air pump and that worked well. Didn’t take too long to inflate. Just remember to account for air expanding in heat so you don’t over-inflate. Great purchase. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Sturdy lightweight & comfortable.
Style: 110
We bought two of these Duh-Shoots inflatable kayaks for recreational use. Very sturdy and seat is comfortable to sit and paddle for hours at a time. The backpack that comes with the boat is a plus for storage a toting. Downside is they don't include a pump with purchase. I'm 6'4" and my wife is 5'8" and we both found them extremely stable and comfortable. The footrest is comfortable for both of us. We own hard body kayaks as well and got these due to the portability of them. We travel full time and took them to Baja, Mexico with us last November which is where the pictures posted were taken on the Sea of Cortez near La Paz, Mexico. Did you notice they only weigh 19lbs.?! That's incredible! They air up in about 4-5 minutes. Easily moves through the water but they don't track super straight until after you get going. We have also taken them down the Flathead River at Glacier NP and they withstood the rough waters well. We had to stop and dump water out several times due to the severity of water drops etc. but we didn't tump once! Handles and storage compartments are handy. We store them in the bottom bay of our motor coach when traveling the country. Would recommend for beginners and up. Definitely would buy again. ... show more

  • We really like this Kyak
Style: 145
The media could not be loaded. As you can see, first time set up. So easy A Cave Man can do it. Had it in the Lake twice. Most enjoyable.

  • Great comfort & weight but flawed design for inflation.
Style: 110
First the good news. We were looking for lightweight but sturdy kayaks that are easy to carry and easy to enter & exit. This kayak checks all the boxes! Comfortable adjustable seat is a bonus. They’re easy to maneuver and carry! My wife just turned 80 and she’s carrying her own kayak down to the water! Now for the only flaw: there is a design flaw in either the inflation valves or the adapter supplied with the kayak. It took me a long time to figure out that the spring in the valve was not being released using the adapter. If the spring is not released, no amount of pumping will get air into the chambers. I folded a piece of masking tape to attach to the little crossbar inside the adapter. It took a couple of tries to get the size right and the sticky side out so it attaches and stays. Once I made that modification, it inflated easily but I wonder how many others just give up. ... show more

  • Nice, light, and solid kayak
Style: 130
I’ve owned this kayak for a few weeks and have taken it out several times. I’ve used it at several beach’s/bays (salt water) in Southern California. It’s light weight, takes only minutes to setup (w/electric pump), and also dries quickly. I’m 5’11, 225 lbs and I’ve never felt like it was going to tip over or sink. The kayak feels solid and offers plenty of room with the open design. The seat is comfortable. Tracking is okay, not the best. The boat does sway quite a bit in the front for the first few paddles, but after several paddles the tracking greatly improves. I usually put my cooler bag in the front to give it some weight to help with tracking. It’s nimble and glides on the water. I’ve paddle in windy and choppy conditions and the kayak handled great. I was initially concerned with not having a drop stitch floor, but once you’re on the water the floor feels solid. The boat will drift quite a bit in windy conditions. The kayak can be a pain to put back in it’s bag. All in all I’m happy with this kayak and it serves my needs perfectly. ... show more
