So me and the kid were going on a cruise, and one of the many, many add on options was renting a floating foam mat at the cruise line's private island for a stupidly high sum of $ for only a few hours' use. There had to be a better option - and THIS IS IT. 1. First off, this raft deflates flat, and takes up very little space in your bag. 2. Even after you inflate it, it's not heavy at all or a pain to drag around the mile-long dock while en route to the beach. 3. You get that nice water flow all around you because of the mesh, keeping you cool and comfy while in the water. Those foam mats can keep water from circulating well to your back when lying down. Yuk. 4. Choice of colors. That was NBD to me, but to the kid, it was everything. She got her favorite color and was super happy about that. No worries about "I don't like the mat color" emotional breakdowns. 5. Even with arthritis, it wasn't difficult for me to switch from a "raft" to a "chair" while using this. 6. Looks pretty well made to me. 7. It traps the air in the cushions well. I popped open the air entryways after we were done, and it didn't want to deflate on it's own. I had to sit on them *and* squeeze the entryways' bases open to get them to deflate. I figure that's good if you are using this in the water - last thing you really want is for the air to rush out if the caps on the air entryways pop open. 8. The kid didn't feel like she was missing out on anything in comparison to everyone else who had a raft. In fact, she was convinced a couple other kids were jealous of her raft. That made her feel better about mommy being a bargain hunter. ;) 9. Nothing stupid/cutesy in the design that will embarrass you while using it. The stripes are classic beach decor - there's no dumb looking animals, silly prints or cartoon characters. and finally 10. Liked them so much I think I'll buy ones for the rest of the fam who didn't go on our "girls only" trip. I'm looking forward to enjoying these rafts for years to come. ... show more

We have taken them on numerous vacations to the Caribbean and every trip we say we will just leave them at the resort and most often we bring them back because they are still in good shape, deflate easily and pack well. We have a very large above ground pool. Over the years we have tried many floaties. These are by far the best in terms of practicality, design and usefulness. I could give a million reasons but I’ll just give the highlights. First off, they are made excellent! Nice and thick materials that shouldn’t get holes on 3.2 seconds. Gotta love that! Second, super easy to inflate! You don't need a pump. Just a few breaths and you’re done. No passing out in 95 degree sun blowing things up or fighting with a pump -sign me up! Third, easy to use! We have a family of seven and everyone fights over the two I purchased for a test run. Guess that means I meed five more! Fourth, they stay IN the pool on ridiculously windy days! Gone are the days of chasing a 6’ unicorn, flamingo, duck, peacock, swan and lord knows what else a half a mile down the fields behind our home! There’s a visual for you! So frustrating running after things that blow out because they sit high on top of the water. Fifth, storage! I havent heard hubby lose his marbles over all the crap in “his garage” since these came two weeks ago. He is not a fan of the floaties. He threatens their lives with box cutters for taking up so much space. He must have childhood floatie trauma or something. Sixth, they pack like a dream! Took them to a relatives last weekend and only needed one pool supply bag...not seventeen. Proof there is a god for those of us who despise packing! Seventh, everyone fits. Reading reviews where people complain they “dont fit” is comical. Everyone fits. Our family is all shapes and sizes and are just fine on the regular size ones. People who need to complain about the size need to learn how to use them. Unless you are 9’ tall and wide these will fit just fine. I will say they are comfortable and love that you are in the eater but able to relax and have neck support. I could float for hours! Staring at the pool and seeing these floaties while working at home is the only struggle for me because I want to be in the pool NOT working-haha! We have taken these to Aruba on multiple occasions and have also taken them on multiple cruises. They are lightweight and easily folded up. They also don’t blow away in the tradewinds because the mesh stays in the water. Highly recommend these

This pool float worked very well for me in Mexico. Unlike other reviews, I inflated it prior to vacation and left it inflated for a week. No air loss at all in either of the two purchased. It is a little bit difficult to inflate unless you bite slightly on the inflator plug while inflating it (duh). The mesh didn't rip from the inflated pillows, but I used it for what it is intended for and wasn't rough using it. It fits beautifully in luggage for vacations too. ... show more

These are a really good value and work as advertised in the water, even for large people such as I am. However, we've found that after a single season of use, the pillows lose ability to hold air. Maybe we had a bad batch. We've purchased 2 new ones for traveling (deflated they get really flat and pack well) to the Carribean and we'll see how long they last. ... show more

Since there are only two air pockets, it's very easy to inflate. It's amazing how comfortable it is! I love the fact that you can deflate it and store it away in a drawer in the winter months. All I can say about durability is that it lasted me a whole summer, so even if it self-destructs before next summer it was still a good value. ... show more
