A good value for money spent. They aren't blackout curtains or insulating curtains. They are room darkening curtains and they do this job well. They are heavy enough to somewhat damp down noise from the outside and they also have a modest insulating quality so they help keep our bed room more comfortable during chilly weather. Keep in mind that light can be seen above and below them, so determine if you want your curtain rods at or near ceiling level and pay attention to total length, keeping furniture and location of electrical outlets in mind. . ... show more

These are great. They block the light very well. My only duh moment is when I realized there is no white backing, so that means the sun hitting the window in summer will be a heat sink. I will have to put up a white sheet.
