If I bought it brand new, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The watch came almost completely drained of any charge. But once charged up, everything worked as expected. The watch was reset to factory settings and went through the complete setup process of a new watch. Once charged, the remaining battery life (as compared to being brand new) was at 84%. I bought this used and refurbished. It was in excellent condition and holds a charge very well. I woukd highly recommend if you don’t want to waste the money on a new watch. It has basically all the same features and very simple to pair with my iPhone.

Everything seemed to be going well when I got the item. It is in fantastic external condition, but within the first day, I realized that the battery would not hold charge. I inspected it after it happened the second day and found that the battery capacity is significantly degraded, down to almost 70%. This is refurbished, so I definitely don’t expect 100%, but I think it’s reasonable to expect 85% or above. What is the point of having this watch if I can’t even wear it long enough for it to get a read before I have to charge it again? Then, four days after its arrival, the side button started malfunctioning. It kept showing the “emergency services” screen when it was just sitting on the nightstand, constantly. The screen showed that the little side icon for the button was held down, even though the button was not stuck at all. This led me to shut the entire thing down every night so that it wouldn’t accidentally call the police! The two days after that, the screen suddenly went black (full charge) and the device entered an infinite boot loop. Just the Apple logo, black screen, Apple logo… etc. every ten seconds. It will not turn on or off, it will not hard reset or force reset. I’ve watched every video. I chatted with Apple support (where Amazon sent me to solve the issue, strangely), who told me it would cost almost $400 to fix the watch. Why on earth would I do that? Watch came with some scratches as expected being an "Acceptable" renewed item. Battery health at 88% which is better than I had hoped for. Came with aftermarket charging cable and in a bag in a non-Apple box, again, as expected. It needed a ton of updates initially which took hours and I think b/c of that, the watch did not work properly after the initial pairing. After I unpaired and repaired with my iPhone, this time w/o having to do any updates, watch works perfectly. I'm happy with it, it costs 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of a new Apple watch and it has the O2 sensor which the latest Apple watches do not. ... show more
