Description

The Apple Watch looks pretty snazzy, right? People have told you all about the cool features: like if you fall it will automatically call for help! They’ve told you about how you can send a text from your wrist. How you can even make a phone call. That’s all great. But how do you actually use it?!As amazing as all the new features are, it’s not quite as easy to use as an iPhone; the lack of buttons, the smaller screen, and general UI can make a frustrating initial experience. It looks nothing like the iPhone or iPad interface you are used to --except for a handful of icons. If you are lost and don't have a lot of time to comb through thousands of pages of tech-speak just to learn how to use a watch, then this book is for you! This book is based on the book "The Ridiculously Simple Guide to Apple Watch Series 5" but includes sections specifically for seniors (including accessibility features that make text easier to see). Are you ready to start enjoying your new Apple Watch? Then let’s get started! Read more

  • Using the “heart” watch.
I have the iWatch 4 and wanted to learn a little about what the differences were with the iWatch 5. Not enough to upgrade. Will watch for the 6 in a few months. The book covered the questions I had and is a good reference for getting the most with my 4. The watch has been very helpFIL in my recovery from a series of heart attacks. ... show more

  • Looks great but.....
I paid more for this watchband because it was made by Apple for the Apple Watch. I wanted this style band because it is difficult for me to put on the usual buckle style (arthritic hands). This band is easy to put on, looks great & goes with everything but the Apple watch seems to heavy for it. It doesn’t stay on snugly unless fastened uncomfortably tight. Shame on Apple (i am a big fan of Apple products but this doesn’t meet their usual high standards) ... show more

  • A great first look at the Apple Watch tells me all I need to know at first
This book is not for seniors simply because we can't learn as much as we used to. No, it tells us things that, as seniors, we may want to know about how to use the watch. Also has good information about disability access. But a young person could have this be their first look at the Apple Watch just as well. Simple, concise, actually somewhat comprehensive, I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Does not work with iPhone 6
Watch doesn’t work with iPhone 6. Sadly I had to return it.

  • Handy reference book.
Very helpful guide for people like me who are not familiar with "smart" products. I got the iWatch 5 to use in a medical study I am enrolled in. This book helped me with the basics. I keep it handy as a reference as I discover more functions on the Watch that I want to utilise.

  • I love my watch more now
Knowledge is power. I feel so much better learning about and using my Apple Watch. I especially liked the analogies when the author referred you to your iPhone, things that you know and the similarities of the Watch it was a very good book, easy to read and understand.

  • iWatch??
I am not going to read this until the quarantine is over and I can be serious about looking to buy an iwatch.

  • Knowledge for a Sr. beginner
I bought the book for my neighbor who was given the Iwatch! Like he said, there is a lot to learn but it is helping him in learning how to use this great piece of equipment!
