I went with an inexpensive (vs new, latest model prices) refurbished series 10 with GPS and cellular because I wasn’t sure I would use many of the functions and features of an Apple watch. As a matter of fact, I hadn’t worn a regular watch for over 10 years because I always just looked at the time on my phone. I initially purchased this watch to measure steps, gym activity, and health metrics. Using it these past few months, I have found it much more beneficial than my initial needs dictated. The low-key guidance it provides when using Google maps is fantastic.Different beeps for right or left and vibrations for upcoming turns make navigating by feel and sound extremely easy. Sleep, monitoring, exercise prompts, phone calls, Apple Pay, Bluetooth to headphones or earbuds, syncing with your iPhone, fantastic functionality and layout… the entire experience has been eye-opening beyond measure. Easily swapping between different watch faces and having those faces customized with different apps in the corners has been very useful as well. The method for swapping watch straps is also well engineered. Swapping between silicone, leather and metal straps is a breeze. The number of apps and the functionality of them on such limited screen space is a testament to great design and engineering everywhere. The battery life is very good (I typically charge it once a day for 2 hours in the afternoon). The face is quite scratch resistant, but with the number of screen protectors and watch face covers available, this isn’t really an issue anyway. The screen is well lit and can easily be read in all but the sunniest or brightest of environments (and then a cupped hand works wonders anyway). It also is quite smart and conserves battery by dimming or shutting the face down when you’re not looking at it. Raise your arm to view the face (or just turn it towards your face as your arm rests in your lap) and it suddenly brightens up. A refurbished series 10 Apple watch is definitely a great value for the functionality it provides. Even a Luddite would be impressed and secretly wear one. ... show more

10/10 the screen and body if the watch is flawless and looks brand new. The battery life is 100% with no degradation. It’s great value for the cost considering the normal msrp is nearly double this at launch. Don’t buy! Apple Watch is locked to a previous owner’s Apple ID (Activation Lock). Cannot be reset or paired. I’m so upset this was a waste of time! Now I have to go through returning and trying to buy from someone else !
